Disappointed and Frustrated – Not Worth $300 a Night. I don’t typically leave negative reviews, but our stay at Embassy Suites Hot Springs Conference Center was so disappointing that I feel compelled to share.
We paid over $300 for a one-night stay, and it was a miserable experience from start to finish. After waiting over 40 minutes to check in, we were told that the room we had selected during mobile check-in was not available. The alternate room had a terribly sagging bed that clearly hadn’t been replaced in years, and we could barely sleep. My back hurt all night.
There were no linens or pillows for the sofa bed. We asked for them twice and were only given one sheet. The hotel was completely packed with multiple large family reunions, which led to food containers scattered throughout the lobby, loud music blaring, and shouting in the hallways late into the night. At 12:45 a.m., I walked out into the hall because the noise was so out of control and couldn’t reach anyone at the front desk by phone or app message. The quiet hours we were told started at 10 p.m. were not enforced. The chaos extended to the pool, which was so crowded and unmanageable that we had to leave. We had originally considered staying a second night, but made the decision early on that we would never return. For $300 a night, I expect a safe, clean, and relaxing stay, not sleepless chaos, poor customer service, and lack of basic room accommodations. Very disappointed. Best part was leaving.
