'This is my favorite spot in all of Ethiopia. It was my second stay at this hotel and proved to be as special as the first. The beds are comfortable and there was plenty of hot water for a shower. The view from the balcony is extraordinary with crows, eagles and hawks flying at by. The morning coffee was delicious and everyone was extremely accommodating and kind. I highly recommend.'

'I cannot praise this place enough. The room was big, clean, comfortable and a lot cheaper than some of the posher hotels further down the road which probably didn't offer much more. The staff couldn't do enough to help and the hotel not only looks good but it is ideally situated in the centre of town.'

'I have traveled around the world, and can say that the Sora Lodge is a GREAT place to stay. Staff arranged a complete sightseeing itinerary, and provided the very best in guides for us. 'This property has a rustic appeal. The few staff working there are accommodating to the best they can. Its under renovation so I hope it will only improve with upgrades. The view is pleasing and the food is good. The water was hot and the western toilet is a plus. Overall, it was a nice stay.'

'I could not enjoy the property as for the 10 days that I was there most the time I was ill. I think this may have to do with the lack of deep cleaning. Hot water was also an issue. It took several request for a heater. The Wi-Fi never worked.'

'Abrham è un ragazzo simpaticissimo, molto disponibile e condivide la sua casa con turisti! Il problema che si incontrano a Lalibela e non solo da Abrham..sono L energia elettrica che va e viene in certi orari e di conseguenza la mancanza di acqua sia calda che a volte fredda! Per chi è di paggio e vuole vivere in esperienza in un luogo pulito con camera accogliente spendendo poco... lo standard è giusto, considerando anche l’ottima ospitalità e la mega colazione! 'This was the very worst I have experienced in a long time. Called Hotels.com to get out of that garbage hotel … waiting 30’ and disconnected, then over 60’ to hear that since it was paid, it could not be refunded. I left after one night of fighting with mosquitoes for hours, in a bedroom that was abject, and an owner/manager that was most unresponsive. You, Hotels.com, have a responsibility to corrrctly inform your customers. You should be ashamed to recommend such a place!'

'Not the greatest hotel. Very tired looking and over priced. I had to change rooms several times just to get a toilet seat! The process with hotels.com wasn’t great either. I had to pay for my room twice- once in advance and once when I got there as the hotel claimed they hadn’t received the money from hotels.com.
