ONE MORE WISH
We loved the cabin and it was stocked with everything we needed and plenty of room. Much needed: a clock in the Master bedroom and living room, along with a boat too👍 If this were mine, I'd trim back all the shrubs and weeds covering the bay window and cutting the view of the channel by 80%, plus the spiders need to be cleared off the channel side back door.

Houghton Lake
excellent place to stay on channel. Lots of room for all. Good updates. Would rent again. We like the channel for boating as this lake can get rough ut sleep well when in the channel.

It was an amazing trip the cabin was awesome very clean easy to get to had a great time traveled alot of ground and also went to tip up town I applaud the cleaner bravo to her I would hire her in a minute if she ever came to pigeon forge tn owners also were great I 200% recommend this property

Couples Week Vacation
We had an awesome time at this property. My husband and I went for a week vacation with another couple. We had the best time. The owner was so easy to work with as was the property manager. There was plenty of room for all of us to have our personal space and our own bathrooms. We went for walks to the end of the street to watch the fabulous sunsets and we even met other couples on the street who were very nice. The town was very nice also. I would definitely recommend this property if you are going on vacation either with other adults or kids. We will be back and I won't even look for other properties in the area.

Off season relax and reconnect
Fall vacations for me is more of a time out to relax , smell the coffee, enjoy the changing of another season, and enjoy having absolutely nothing to do other than taking time out to communicate with each other. My family has grown and moved on with their own families and individually it was nice to share time, conversation, and good meals. This is my second time spent at this house and it remains one of the most comfortable place I have ever stayed and would look forward to in the future. Thank you for sharing your home with me.

Great place to stay!
This place is huge on the inside, great kitchen/dining area and huge living room with big screen TV (including movie subscriptions & DVD's). Three Alexa's in the house, along with washer/dryer/all the amenities. All newer furnishings and decor - very nice! We'll be back again. Room for two pontoons at the seawall - boat launch right across the river.

The pictures of the cabin are just what it looks like. Very well stocked cabin everything you need and more. Comfortable beds and furniture. Good safe place to stay. Thank you for the gift. It was a nice touch.we would rent again.

lovely home with anything just about everything you need
The home is lovely and spacious, with plenty of space to spread out. The home is right on the canal and gave us plenty of room to dock our boat and both jet skis. The location was so great for fishing, the guys spent hours out there catching all kinds of fish. Each bedroom had AC window units which made them all comfortable. The common spaces only had fans and the dining room/kitchen were fairly comfortable but the living room and sun room were hot and muggy on the days it was 90 degree days. This wasnt the worst thing since we could be out on the water on those days. We did have a few small issues come up during our stay, but they were immediately addressed and taken care of by both the owner and the property manager, very impressed!

Great place!!
The property is super clean and smells wonderful. The kitchen is well stocked as far as cooking and baking goes. The beds are very comfortable even the bunk beds. The only down side is there is not any view of Houghton Lake you are on a channel looking at the homes on the other side of the channel. This is the best home I have rented on water in Michigan, I just wish it had a better view. If you have a boat or jetski stay here it's amazing!!!!!

The property was beautiful and well appointed with many amenities. The only thing was the pictures do represent the property larger than what it is. Also, I emailed the manager with no response while it wasn't a big issue a response would have been appreciated. Helen & Steve

Nice lake house. Very clean and lots of nice features. Most things we needed were available and Walmart was close enough to fill in the missing pieces. We bought (then used our own) charcoal since there was none there. We also bought and left a grill brush there but if you plan to do much in the way of barbecuing, you’ll probably want to bring along some grilling tools. Expected but absent were (any). kitchen garbage bags. Can’t expect all to be perfect. Watch that step into the Bear Den. Seemed like everyone who stepped in there was subject to a potential face-plant. Sun Room would make a good dry sauna in the summer! Marginally useful space this time of year. Screen House needs a new roof. Big holes let in big bugs! Nice canal access and boat well. We brought along our Hobie Cat (catamaran sailboat) and have since modified our rental criteria to eliminate canal homes (cats don’t paddle well) and also Houghton Lake. If you’re a fisherman, Houghton is definitely worth a visit, but it’s no longer on our list for places to take our Hobie. If you’re looking for a nice place on a big inland lake and want water access for your fishing or pontoon boat, you might be very pleased with this one.
