'The floors were very dirty when we arrived. My feet turned black after like 30 minutes of walking barefoot. There was dust on the fans & surfaces. Previous guests food was still in the freezer. There was basically an empty roll of toilet paper in one bathroom then only 1 other roll in the place (have to supply your own). Overall location & property was nice. Just could be better maintained for guests. '

'Stuff in the kitchen didn't seem very clean. Hotel was good but other guests were not. Throughout the night could hear people talking in the hallways and doors slamming. Employees were all nice and helpful. '

'Gorgeous boutique hotel with fantastic updates that also keep the charm and history of a French Quarter building. Beautifully decorated. Staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. It is very close to Bourbon Street, so there is quite a bit of noise, especially at night. I sleep with earplugs anyway, but I know the hotel does offer them if needed. Courtyard is fantastic and has plenty of seating. Would definitely stay at The Celestine again when in the French Quarter.'

'Melrose Mansion is a great place to stay in, if you are visiting New Orleans. The rooms are very nice and spacious and have a great look & feel. Our room was very clean, which is quite important to us. Across the street is a bar, which sometimes had some loud guests, which is the only downside we can think of. The breakfast is sufficient and the staff is very kind & helpful. The pool is a nice addition to the overall stay. Highly recommended!'

'The room was just as I expected it. It was nice, quiet, clean and spacious. Just steps away from bourbon street without the noise. The front door kitties are nice. The staff are super helpful and nice as well. The only drawback was my hubby is 6'5" and he had to duck some in the bathroom and shower. That is the nature of older buildings though.'
