Beautiful home and responsive host, but maintenance issues disrupted our Holiday stay.We stayed here over the Christmas holidays as a family with twin 4-year-olds. The property is beautiful; the kitchen, living, and dining areas are spacious and clean. The location is also excellent, feeling safe and close to many fun activities.I want to highlight that the host was excellent regarding communication. They were quick to action and very responsive.However, we are giving a 3-star rating because the experience did not match the luxury price point, primarily due to the top-floor AC being broken upon arrival causing a significant disruption. We slept in a smaller spare bed the first night, and the second evening involved having workers in the house for multiple hours. Because it was the holidays, this was particularly difficult; we were trying to eat a family dinner and let our twins open presents while strangers were working in the house. I was also disappointed that I had to be the one to prompt for a partial refund, and the amount received didn't fully reflect the headache this caused during our holiday stay.Furthermore, the house generally lacks the upkeep expected of a luxury rental. We encountered a loose dishwasher that tips when opened, a broken bathroom faucet, damaged window shutters, and missing basics like oven mitts and body wash. We have shared this list with the host. If these maintenance items are addressed, this is a 5-star home.
