'This place was everything we were looking for for a quiet get away. We enjoyed everything the hosts offered — pontoon, hot tub, kayaks, small rocky beach for kids to be kids and although we were initially shocked there was only one TV in the whole house, we welcomed it as it forced us to think about not being on electronic devices and to instead do campfires and family board games. We enjoyed every minute!'

'The cabin is as described - although it is a dry cabin, it offered a lot of little amenities that make it a lot nicer. Yes, the bugs are bad - but you have to expect that in Northern MN. The outhouse was a little overwhelming depending on the time of day - not sure if it’s venting as it should, but that was the only thing that was a disappointment. We had a severe thunderstorm roll in over night, and we were certainly happy to be in a cabin. '

'This cabin is very cozy, and conveniently located just 10 minutes from Ely. The best part of our stay was fishing off the dock - we caught lots of panfish and several sizable bass! It's very nice this property offers an aluminum canoe, kayak and paddles for use on the lake.'

'Fishing nearby lakes was really good, food in nearby town was outstanding. And plenty of room for three adults. Very nice retreat. I'd do it again. '

'It was me and my dog flash, here over a long weekend. I look for properties with not a lot of action going on. I am an introvert and thrive on peace, solitude and tranquility. This place filled those boxes nicely. The Sax-Zim bog is nearby and Duluth is not far either. Birders, a great place to be near the bog!!! The pics are just a couple of the ones I took at Sax-Zim. '

'Our place was more than we expected, so many thoughtful little add-ons, it’s a beautiful lake and property. Our kids were camping near by at Bear Head State Park and got rained out. Jay learned of that and txt me to say they could stay in an extra space he had instead of their wet tent - which they did! Jay was so thoughtful and generous, we very much appreciated his gesture. Highly recommend Wilderness Wind and look forward to coming back. '

'The house was perfect. But this lake has no fish in it . We usually end up with loads of fish to take home when on vacation. We had 3 people fishing in our group and they didn’t catch anything. No sunfish, walleyes, grappies, not even a bullhead. '
