Log Cabin aan het meer met uitzicht op de bergen en het meer Vanuit bijna elke kamer en meer dan 280 voet van het meer op Smith Mountain Lake. Deep Water dock, maakt het gebruik van de boot slip en sprong van de partij dek tot diep groen water. Stappen in het meer - zowel natuurlijke en door de mens gemaakt voor degenen pups of mensen. 2 kano's op het terrein voor diegenen peddelen momenten, en een paddle board .. Tal van lounge stoelen-6 ligstoelen, plus een ton van tuinmeubilair op elk dek om te zonnen of slip onder de paraplu. ,
Veel decks trapsgewijs naar beneden naar het meer, met veel overal zitplaatsen.
Dit huis biedt een pooltafel, ping pong, kano's, wifi- unlimited- (zodat u niet extra in rekening gebracht.) Huis is ook de enige full solar opgericht huis op Smith Mountain Lake, biedt u een groene oplossing vakantie als dit belangrijk voor u. Ook eindeloos warm water met een propaan tankless systeem.
De eigenaar heeft de Log Cabin aan de binnenkant gemaakt, in de woonruimtes toch helder op het interieur met veel glas en deuren naar buiten. De buitenkant van het huis weerspiegelt een camp stijl thuisstadion, voorzien van alle luxe.
Stenen open haarden, 1 hout (hout) en 2 propaan open haarden, maken dit huis warm en plezier op elk moment van het jaar. De keuken met beer Paw Prints binnen (hep de beer kreeg tijdens renovatie) maken het gerenoveerde keuken charmant en leuk. Propaan kookplaat en oven voor een uitstekende keuken.
Outdoor cooking gebied is gelegen in de beschutte veranda met uitzicht op het meer en de grote omheinde tuin. Het hek gaat het bos in en om het huis - die het mogelijk maakt al uw pups naar chase plaatsen rond het huis - evenals de kinderen en volwassenen. Er zijn houten treden van het dok in het water te gaan en voor sommige oudere Honden- we hebben natuurlijk stenen trap in het water, zodat ze niet zo veel schuiven .. Hoe dan ook, veel manieren om het water in te gaan en terug te krijgen zonder moeilijkheden. Wij doen kunnen meerdere honden (omdat we meerdere ons eigen) .. .. dus laat het ons weten. Wij bieden ook een grote hond bed, zodat u niet hoeft om die in- we maar één currently- meenemen als u een ander laat het ons weten, zodat we kunnen proberen om te krijgen wat je nodig hebt.
De gehele woning is gerenoveerd met houten vloeren, betegelde badkamers, steen tellers in de keuken, keuken met aangepaste kasten, overvloedig portieken & decks met vrij bergen en meren, hot-tub onder de afgeschermde veranda, omheinde aangelegde tuin gebied biedt ontspannen sfeer om buiten te leven, de kathedraal plafonds met balken. De aandacht voor detail rustieke wordt weerspiegeld in cederhouten plafonds en nog veel meer. Dit schitterend ingerichte huis met diepe kussen matrassen, antiek, handgemaakte meubels omvat ook bad zeep, vaatwasser en wasmiddel.
Verharde wegen in dit kleine, Wildlife Refuge gemeenschap, biedt paden, en een spectaculair uitzicht. Generous ong. 2 acre tractus biedt ultieme privacy voor mountain retreat .... zeer goed gevestigde verhuur - perfect voor broodnodige vakantie of voor een zakelijke retraite!

Perfect cabin to relax!

My family and I stayed to celebrate Thanksgiving. What a fantastic, clean, remote, relaxing getaway weekend! This cabin is perfect. Camp fires, hot tub, canoeing, and an excellent opportunity to separate from work for a bit.

We were looking for a quiet place to get away with friends and our dog despite the pandemic and this was the perfect spot...pretty fall color, fenced yard, games, lake equipment, grill, fireplaces....It was so quiet we could hear the leaves falling. Wonderful getaway

This property exceeded my expectations. We selected this property based on it’s location, it’s amenities and the fenced yard. It is a wonderful house inside and out. Thank you to the owner for providing dog lovers with a safe place to take their pups. Thank you for the baby gates which we used at the top of the deck steps. We walked at the state park several days and rented a boat another day. We would definitely return for another getaway.

Relax with your dogs

This property is a fantastic place to stay if you love your dogs!! The entire place is fenced in! It has a large, beautiful lawn with a perfect view of the lake. The bed was very comfortable. It has so many things to do right at the house. We enjoyed archery, pool table, ping pong, darts, horse shoes, paddle boarding, but much much more is available! The hot tube is wonderful! Fantastic place to relax!!

Wonderful late October stay

My dog, Winnie, and I had a wonderful time staying at the Log Cabin Retreat in late October 2019. The house was plenty big for the two of us (plus a friend who visited for the day over the weekend), but well worth the price tag for the view and fenced in property. My city dog barely knew what to do with all the space! We had a perfect mix of sunny and rainy days and were able to spend most of our days out on the various decks taking in the view of the fall leaves changing across the lake. We had a bad storm one night that knocked down a section of the fence. Winnie was very grateful for the responsive and kind maintenance staff who came out quickly and re-posted the fence so that she could run around on her birthday! The house is well-stocked with all the cookware/utensils you could ever need. One word of caution to future guests--the smoke alarms in the hallway off the kitchen and two bedrooms are very sensitive (one went off when I was boiling water!), so you'll want to have someone tall on standby to shut them off if they're triggered. Too sensitive is better than not sensitive at all, so this was nothing more than a minor inconvenience and encouraged me to cook most of my meals outside on the wonderfully maintained grill, which also has a gas burner on the side for anything you may not want to grill. I was exceptionally impressed with the upkeep of the yard, especially because it is a dog-friendly property. Future guests, please do your part to keep the home and yard clean so that we can all continue to bring our dogs here in the future! Winnie and I are very much looking forward to returning next year!

Thank you for the most relaxing vacation we have had in many years. The cabin has all of the amenities you could ever need. We loved the well-stocked kitchen and modern appliances. Great home, with plentiful amenities and wonderful location

Overall we had an amazing stay at this home. It is located in a very quiet development where you can go for walks, runs, or bike ride without worrying about traffic. Note, however, that you will get a workout as the development is hilly. The home itself is a charming cottage with very good amenities and all the toys one needs to play in the lake. Beds were very comfortable, furniture cozy and everything worked as it should. Couple notes for consideration to future renters; the house sits on a slope which makes one feel like they are in a tree house overlooking the lake, however, that also means that it is a challenge to walk up and down the hill from the house to the docks, carrying all the water essentials, food, or other items. Think of it as a great leg workout. The home has plenty of deck space by the house and on the lake, with plentiful seating and various nooks and crannies for relaxation. The fenced in yard is appreciated if one has a dog that can freely run around. The fire pit is perfect for roasting s’mores and enjoying a glass of wine in the evening. The owner is very responsive and ensures that your vacation will be a stress free one. The house is stocked with everything needed to cook and the homeowner even provides starting provisions and other items. Nice touch was the bottle of wine. If you are looking for a home where you can disconnect, be located in a quiet neighborhood, enjoy. a country cottage feel with all the water toys.....this rental is for you.

Beautiful cabin, great location and view. Stayed 10/16-21/2017

We totally enjoyed our stay. The cabin had all the amenities you could need. The weather was perfect. Some of us even got out on the water for a kayak ride. Our dogs loved the large fenced in yard. It made our trip seeing them enjoy running around and playing together. It was so peaceful, we enjoyed sitting out at night and star gazing. Fun time.

This home is absolutely beautiful. The location Is beautiful also. The only downside to this home is having to bring your own linens. We have stayed in VRBOs in Maine, Georgia, Bahamas, California, even Lynchburg Virginia and several other states and have never had to bring our own linens. I understand that you can rent the linens but they we expensive and had to be ordered a month in advance. Other than this, there were no other complaints.

AMAZING TIME !!!

We have been coming to the Log Cabin for over ten years now. We love this place and would highly recommend to any family or couple. We have been other places around the country and have to say that we ALWAYS come back to the Log Cabin. Peaceful, serene, and very homey. !!! Our dogs love it also. The owners keep the place equipped with everything you could possibly need. The home is clean and comfortable for all. This year we rented a boat for the first time on the lake and it was a real asset to the vacation. But even without a boat we have enjoyed our many stays at the Log Cabin Retreat. Lots to do and see. This home has everything!!!

Our recent stay at this home was one of the best experiences we've ever had renting. This home has everything you can ever imagine to keep you busy as well as a stocked kitchen. I mean stocked! If you still cook on vacation this place is great. The appliances are all up to date, the house was clean, and there was a kayak and a few paddle boards that my daughters loved. The fire pit was fun and there are so many decks, chairs and loungers to choose from. I can't say enough great things about this rental. Maybe top on my list was knowing my two dogs could run free in the fenced yard and I didn't worry about them running off! This means the world! I highly recommend this home!

10/27-10/31 Peaceful & Perfect!

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful home. This property is exactly the way the site says it is. Running around in the backyard was perfect for our dog Daisy. The docks, the use of canoes were so easily accessible. The house was immaculate and well taken care of. We enjoyed the quietness of late October while playing scrabble in the screened porch, grilling nightly, making breakfast every morning in the well equipped kitchen and just relaxing and fishing down at the lake. The hot tub was clean and set at the right temperature for our early morning dip. It was a big house for just the two of us and our dog, but it was the perfect getaway (just not long enough). It was lady bug mating season, so we were greeted by hundreds of lady bugs and one flew in my ear and came out 45 minutes later. I think that means I'll have good luck for quite some time. It's a GREAT PLACE!

Humans and Canines really enjoyed everything about the property and had a great time. We had a boat delivered and picked up at the dock. It was a very smart rental process with all the information you could need about the home, the area attractions etc. The house and lake are beautiful. Highly recommend.

2nd visit just as excellent as the first!

We love this place and hope to make it an annual trip. We used to go to the Outer Banks but find this to be more relaxing and just as convenient from Richmond. It is perfect for our K9 heavy family. New fire pit was perfect for a S'mores night. The Kitchen is great for anyone looking to cook a gourmet meal for the family. Well stocked with everything you should need. We have yet to try the Hot tub. Maybe next time. Thanks again for having us and the 'Kids'

Beautiful Piece of Property

We arrived at the property on the day of Hurricane Matthew before check in time. The staff was still there cleaning but they were nice enough let us sit in the basement while they finished. At this point in time, no one made us aware that arriving early would cancel some of the perks that the cabin provided, such as a working fire place. This had to be cancelled due to our early arrival. We would have easily gone to a restaurant to wait had we'd known. The cabin and scenery were beautiful. Everything was well maintained and clean. We had a wonderful time using the outside fire pit, the numerous porches and enjoyment of the cabin retreat feel. Our only complaint, being new to the area and never having used the cabin before, was working with the cabin owner. The information we were sent and the book inside the house had many discrepancies along with fees we were unsure of, for example - the use of the hot tub - which we didn't use due to those fees and not wanting to make anymore phone calls. Simple questions such as, are the twin beds long or regular, were returned with answers that made us feel like we were complaining. We also called out of respect to the owner and property about what appeared to be a slight leak in the pipes below the sink. Our call was not "welcomed" as it states they are in the book. Our final call, again out of respect and not wanting to do anything that would damage the property, was about the use of the fire places in the home. Being unaware at the time that this had been cancelled due to our early arrival - again - our call was not welcomed but more of an annoyance. We made no more phone calls. Thank you to HomeAway for providing such a nice cabin but it is very doubtful we will stay here again due to the owner (our reasoning for the 3 stars). However, we'd still recommend this cabin to others in hopes customer service would be more welcome to the next guests. We wish the owner and her family well wishes and prayers during what may have been a difficult time.

Peace and Relaxation

This is our 4th stay at Log Cabin Retreat. If you are looking for peace and relaxation than look no further. The view is breath taking and the dogs love the big fenced in yard. The home is equipped with everything you could possibly need. We will be back next Fall.
