Clean property and great location
Had a great stay with a group of family and friends. Plenty of space for 8 adults and 6 kids. Property was clean upon arrival and communication was great. Only negative is that the couch should be replaced as it's falling apart and some areas of the house are in need of repair (bathroom fixtures loose, fireplace hearth cracked, etc). Overall we enjoyed our stay - hot tub was great too!

Great time!
Had a great time at the property. Great location to Hunter and the home was fit for the area and overall experience in the mountains. Rustic feel with all the amenities one would expect. Great Weekend Family Stay for Hunter Octoberfest
Very happy with my first Vrbo experience. Everything that was in the description of the house by the owners was acurate. Very Clean and Very spacious. We had 10 family members and there was a bedroom for each couple with one room to spare. We had a 2 night stay. My family had an A-Frame ski house around the corner for 30 years so we wanted to go back to Octoberfest at Hunter to relive memories and this house did not disappoint. We enjoyed the Firepit on the first night (rain second night) and the Young adults enjoyed the hot tub on both nights. The game room could use some TLC (game controllers no batteries/did not work, pool table seen better days but ping pong was OK) These were just bonus items in my opinion so does not detract in any way from the stay. The dining table is huge and had chairs for at least 10 which was awesome to play games and cards. We used the barbeque as well and it functioned perfectly. Everything you could ask for was provided and in good condition. The outside wraparound decks are very nice and would be good to have some chairs out front to enjoy the deck. Agree with all the comments in the recent past reviews. We had no need to contact the host during the stay - however we almost called as the Main TV was a bit tricky to get to work - some instruction notes would be helpful. Would highly recommend and would definately stay again. Good hosts = good place = great stay.

Great Long Weekend With Friends
Perfect for our annual Columbus Day weekend trip with a group of 9 friends.The house has a great layout and was very comfortable for a big group. Everyone got their own bedroom and the beds were comfortable. We loved the open floor plan of the kitchen/dining/living room area - and the extra long dining room table is a big plus! The livingroom could use some additional seating and the sectional couch has seen better days, but we managed by bringing the gaming chairs down from the loft area and pulling some dining room chairs over. Great location - close to Phoenecia for our Rail Explorers tour (which got cancelled because of the torrential rain, but we spent a fun rainy afternoon at the Rail Museum and exploring the cute shops in Phoenicia). We went to the Fall Festival in Windham and Oktoberfest at Hunter Mtn the next day - both very convenient. We only got to use the firepit once before the rain started, but it was great and plenty of firewood was provided. The propane grill worked and an extra can of propane was provided, so you didn't have to worry about running out. The burner diffusers were rusted and one fell off, but the grill works without them so we still made a good meal. Host responded immediately to a couple of questions we had prior to arriving.Overall a great place to get away with a group of friends.

The property was adequate, and priced accordingly. We could see that the owner is in the process of making updates to the siding and decking, and the bathrooms seem to be recently renovated. The kitchen was well stocked and there were plenty of towels available. The beds were very comfortable- we all commented that they looked like they'd be too thin and firm, but we all got a great night sleep. The hot tub was a good time, although a little tricky to figure out. Written instructions would be helpful. There was one jet that was very loud and forceful, and we couldn't get it to turn off. We also accidentally dropped the temp 10 degrees by putting it into "eco-mode", but luckily it warmed back up in a few hours. A couple other suggestions: Some floor mats in the bathrooms and especially in front of the hot tub or nearest door would be appreciated. Walking around with wet feet made the hardwood floor very slippery. Also, new patio furniture cushions and perhaps a request that guests bring them in after each stay? They were wet when we arrived and not in very good shape. It gives a shabby feel to an otherwise very nice home. Along the same lines, the couch is in rough shape and there was not enough room for all 6 of us to sit. Other than that, no complaints. The host was accommodating in letting us check out a couple hours late, which was appreciated. We all had a great time, and even had a bald eagle land in one of the pine trees on the property, which was awesome.

Guys golf weekend
We are lifelong friends that set up a guys golf weekend annually in May or September. We laugh grill and catch up. It is a fantastic weekend. The fire pit was great with plenty of wood. The house is not far from Hunter Mtn entrance and main road. The neighborhood was very quiet. Kitchen had everything we needed. I would recommend this house for larger groups. We were 8 guys over 50. Spacious Cabin with Outdoor Living Area
My group and I had a fantastic stay! The cabin was spacious with many comfortable beds and clean bathrooms. We loved the open living space with the large table for us to all dine together. The kitchen had many ammenities available. The outdoor space was perfect for an evening fire. We had great weather, but if it had rained there were lots of games and activities inside as well. The location was close to town/attractions. We had good clear communication with hosts.

Great stay!
Large family gathering for the long weekend was very much enjoyed by all. The house was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the proximity to Hunter Mountain Skiing, Bear Mountain Tubing, Tannersville shops and restaurants , and a short drive to Woodstock. Our group of 4 couples really enjoyed our stay again this winter at this wonderful home near the base of Hunter. We skied at Windham, which is 15 min away. Owner had someone at the property in 5 min when the hot tub needed an adjustment. Look forward to another visit.

Great spot for a big group
This place was pretty amazing. It was big, clean, everything worked and it even had heated floors!?! It was a short walk to the mountain and pretty much everything else in town. Big fire pit outside with plenty of wood and a fireplace inside as well. We were really comfortable and ended up ordering in and watching playoff football one night instead of going out to eat. 10/10 would highly recommend. Thanks again.

Owner is outstanding with responding and addressing issues promptly. Location is fantastic with a car to ski area, literally 2 mins, bedrooms and bathrooms are roomy. Plenty of firewood, paper towels and such. Hot tub was great. However the outside does not look at all like the pictures. 3 star for cleanliness is in reference to outside. It was totally in disarray and messy. Chairs turned over, cushions all about, garbage. Ping pong net was missing, which we were told would be replaced but never was. Pool sticks need to be replaced, cookwear needs to be cleaned out as much of has been overused. Its a mixed review because this could easily be a 5 star but it lacks attention and need updates.

This place is a stone's throw from Hunter Mountain. We particularly enjoyed the hot tub and the rooms were spacious. Plenty of air conditioning kept it comfortable on some unusually warm days. Only recommendations would be to update the video games/DVD selection as many of the DVD's were "worn" and would not play. Overall excellent!

Nice Friend Getaway
We traveled as 3 families of friends with kids that ranged in age from 23 months to 10 years old. There were 11 total in our party. The inside of the house was as pictured. There was plenty of room for everyone to sleep. The kids enjoyed the air hockey, ping pong (pool table converts), and time in the hot tub. The outside of the house was a bit worn and weathered (which I suspect is from NY winters) unlike the pictures provided. We didn’t have the greatest weather - it rained most every day - but the kids were able to always keep themselves busy. It seems that some of the town of Tannersville (closest to Hunter) was affected by the last year and COVID so a lot of businesses were shut down or just understaffed. We did drive into Phoenicia and found some fun things to do there and in the surrounding area (rail bike, worlds largest kaleidoscope, breweries, etc). Kaaterskills Falls and North/South Lake do not disappoint on outdoor fun and spectacular views. Hopefully this last storm helps gets the falls roaring a little more.

We had a great time. House is big, lots of movies, games. Kids had so much fun. Location is great, close to bakery, gas station and shops. There are 2 things I’d have to complain about Bugs, everywhere, they have to do something about that. And it could be a little more clean. But, all in all it was great.

Great family getaway
This house was perfect for our multigenerational family get away. Four families total with 12 people fit perfectly in the 5 bedrooms. The deck and yard were perfect for outdoor play time and when everyone needed quiet time there was enough space for that inside and out.
