'Terrible place to stay, hallways dirty, boxes and other rubish was scattered troughout the hotel. Firealarm was beeping loud in the room, and was hanging from the wall. The room smelled horrible. Went down to check-in and got another room. Smelled a little better but stuff was dirty, dust everywhere. Only superficial cleaning done. This was the only somewhat affordable hotel around but you better drive those extra 25 miles! Never again. '
'Great stay and a very quiet and relaxed upscale property. Staff knew who we were before we arrived and were ready a willing to assist to ensure any specific wants or needs were met. The surrounding forest and lake were large and completely open for exploring. Rooms are huge and incredibly well appointed. Food is 5 star for breakfast, lunch and dinner. '
'The stay at the resort was very enjoyable. If you book through Orbitz, please call the property and make sure they got your reservation. They had not received ours, but fortunately had a room for us. The room was very large and clean.
The whole resort needs a general make-over, as the facility is a bit dated and used (wallpapers, paints, windows, door locks, showers, etc.), but you can see that this hotel still has a lot of prestige.
The breakfast buffet was excellent, with an omelette...
'We came to the area for a concert @ Bethel Woods which is a 20 minute drive. The Darby was a nice find, very clean, very comfortable beds and linens which is key. The room was small but well designed. They have some nice amenities such as a bar, game room, outdoor area with fire pit and chairs. The next morning we walked across the bridge to New York State and a great coffee shop, that was 900’ feet from The Darby. Recommended!'
