First let me say, I don’t normally stay at this kind of hotel; so my review will seem a little harsh. I am going to start with the good things first. The checkin staff were super friendly and the checkin process was really quick. They did not even need a card on file for incidentals. There was ample parking and it is located near many places to eat and shop. I stayed here because it was only 5 minutes away from where I needed to be.
Now, here are the flaws. I was surprised by the extremely high expedia rating. I decided to give this hotel a try even though I don’t normally stay at this kind of hotel. You essentially get what you pay for. I guess it is good for the price and type of hotel but I personally would not stay here again. It is just not what I am use to. The building is old. There was trash and cigarette butts scattered outside the rooms. The furniture and bed skirt had stains. The bottom toilet seat was not cleaned. The room just needed a good dusting. The kleenex holder and lamp shades were covered in dust. The bathroom tub had a large repair patch which I feel was not repaired correctly. If I had to guess, the tub had a crack, they put the patch on it, but did not repair the moistened subfloor. When showering and standing in the middle of the tub, the floor had “bounce/give” to it. Overall, it was a very “interesting” stay. At least I can now say I got to experience a stay at a Best Western and now I know what to expect.
