'Lovely place, great location on the high street. Private, off street parking is very helpful - the entrance to it is through a very narrow archway which was a tight squeeze for an SUV. The property itself is well kept & equipped. Very clean and nicely furnished. Communication from the owner by text on the day with all the check in info was very helpful.'

'We arrived late from a very long journey from south east England so we're tired and hungry on our arrival ,Moya and her husband Mark gave us a warm welcome and we're so extremely kind making us a food parcel to make a meal out of to save us venturing out after 8pm when not many shops open or around in the village. 'Lovely bungalow with a secure garden for the children to play out in. The location is perfect, really quiet and peaceful, the perfect place to unwind in the countryside. 'I think the place is great. It just neds a few slight updates. Privacy window/curtains in living room, moss to be cleaned in garden and mould and mildew in bathroom. I know I being rather picky, but it such a great place those things just let it down. I would definitely stay again'

'Wonderful stay with my friend at our 2 dogs, great facilities if you have dogs and very secure for them. It is worth noting that you can not pull your car directly up to the hut to unpack and pack, but it is only a very short walk. Lots of nice walks and secure places for dogs to have a run off the lead. Wildlife in the area is second to non. We walked into Thirsk from the huts and had a lovely lunch and such a pretty town. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be returning. '

'We had a party of 15 family and friends for a special get together over a long weekend. Fabulous property with lots of rooms, lots of space and very well appointed kitchen. The directions to the property could provide a little more detail to warn of the very long, climbing road up and over the hill. It feels like you are on the wrong road and suddenly you see the property in the valley beyond. Worth preserving !'

'Had an amazing stay at Whorlton Lodge. Very spacious and very clean was a home from home. We will definitely be returning in the summer. The views were beautiful from the front windows. The enclosed gardens was amazing for our dog milo who had a lovely time playing in the garden and exploring. Keith was lovely and so helpful!'

'A clean, comfortable, warm and cosy place to stay - felt like home from home Perfectly located for exploring the area. Kitchen very well-equipped, has everything you could possibly need. Great kitchen, well equipped, and even a TV in the kitchen, in the living room and in the bedroom to watch the World Championships soccer. 'Very well presented little cottage. There are a few different cottages here, we stayed in Valencourt. Quality furnishings and fittings, was very comfortable and cosy for a family of 4. Only frustration was the showers. Very difficult to get the right temp for the kids. (I think its to do with the hot water pressure) Even so it didn't spoil our stay, lovely touch with welcome pack in the kitchen, tea, sugar, milk, bread, butter, fresh orange juice and biscuits. 'Nice overnight stay at Hall Garth hotel, just minutes off the motorway but no sound of traffic !!!!!, Staff are all very friendly and an asset to the business. Evening meal was very tasty as was the breakfast. They have closed the swimming pool but have Spa facilities but at a premium price of £15 for 90 minutes which in my opinion is over priced. Rooms a little dated but comfortable . Would certainly recommend and return. They also have their own golf course. '

"Prima hotel en mooie kamer. Goede locatie als je naar The Stockton Globe gaat. De bedden zijn wel erg hard en er zit een brandmelder boven het bed die elke paar seconden knippert. Hierdoor hebben wij niet goed geslapen. De foto's die hierbij staan van het mooie strand en de pier zijn wat misleidend, aangezien dit een half uur verderop ligt met de auto. Niet bij het hotel dus!"
