  • In tegenstelling tot veel huizen in Idyllwild die volledig in de dennenbomen zijn gelegen, ligt de Dome aan de rand van Crestview Drive en biedt op de helderste dagen uitzicht op de oceaan, en het is NIEUW VERBLIJFD! De Dome beslaat meer dan 1,5 hectare grond. Bekijk elke avond de zonsondergang vanaf het stomende bubbelbad of het aangrenzende terras, eet buiten of binnen, of knuffel voor een of alle van de drie binnenhaarden geplaatst bij de centrale schoorsteen van lavasteen. De woonkamer heeft een hoog plafond van 26 voet dat een derde van de koepel beslaat. Het huis is gebouwd naast een 40-voet hoge rotsformatie met inheemse Amerikaanse eikelschuurkommen uitgehouwen in de rots op het hoogste punt met het beste uitzicht op de vallei hieronder. Stel je voor dat je op het dek staat en de herten de heuvel op ziet klimmen. Breng je avond door met staren naar de sterren als ze dichtbij genoeg lijken om aan te raken. Geniet van je moment op de top van de wereld in de immer beroemde "Dramatic Geodesic Dome".

    Weekendtarief vrijdag / zaterdag is $ 425. 00 p / nacht. Weekdagtarief Zondag tot en met donderdag is $ 360. 00 p / nacht. Wintervakantie tarief $ 675. 00 p / nacht (Thanksgiving, Kerstmis en oudejaarsavond), met een minimum van 4 nachten. Vakantietarief $ 550. 00 p / nacht, een minimum van 3 dagen kan vereist zijn. Wow! What an amazing place to stay! We really enjoyed the awesome views and quirky layout. Sauna after a long hike, hot tub at sunset, game room at night. "The Dome" had everything we needed and more. We highly recommend and truly believe staying here was the best way to experience all that is Idyllwild!

Dome-estic Bliss

Thanksgiving at the Dome will forever be a part of our family story. Everyone loved the great views, the open living room gathered around the fireplace, and the hot tub. Many Thanks to Monica and the Vrbo staff for making our vacation special…and easy!

Really pretty getaway spot!

The dome was a great spot for our friend group pups to visit. It’s a short drive/walk into town, the view is incredible, the layout/space is really unique, the beds are comfy, and the kitchen is well equipped. The hot tub wasn’t cooperating for our stay which was a bit of a bummer, and there was a little more non-Vrbo paperwork than expected to lock in the rental, but overall I’d strongly recommend for those considering visiting.

Communication with property managers was excellent (they always answered and resolved the problem, sometimes within minutes), BUT the fact that we had to call is the problem; we should not have needed to. For example, the keys for entry were not in the box, as instructed; they had to send housekeeping with a second set while we waited in the parking lot after a long drive. Also, someone had left the heater on; so, the house was broiling when we arrived; they sent someone to repair the portable air conditioner to help cool the house down. Next, we discovered, after loading the dishwasher, there were no dishwasher tablets; the dishwasher itself was not bolted into cabinet; so, it rolled out when heavy with dishes. The sauna did not appear to be have been used or cleaned in a while; so we avoided it despite the fact that we had looked forward to it. On the plus side, the house is well-appointed, with stunning views, and lots of spaces for communal and solitary enjoyment. With many options for recreation (hot tub, pool table, cooling tubs, big screen TV, close to hiking trails), we and our 3-generation group had a very pleasant weekend. We often heard them say, "Grandma, this is the BEST!"

The Dome allows for recreation (it's so beautiful up there!) and focus (the TVs allow for connected devices so they could display their curricular plans and work together). Best of all, the team who welcomed them was responsive, flexible, and friendly.

The Dome is not just a great home, with beautiful panoramic views in a serene, private also offers dining al fresco; hot tub under the brilliant stars; a large hot sauna; two outdoor, deep cold plunge tubs under the stars and plenty of outdoor space to meditate, rest, recover, rejuvenate and explore, while transforming anxious and stressed spirits! WARNING...STAY AWAY FROM THIS LISTING! In fact avoid any listing that is operated by New Spirit Vacations. This is the worst experience I have ever had! We were extremely disappointed in the condition of the house, the poor communication with the management company and the lack of accountability from NSV and VRBO. We reported all of the issues during our stay and they were ignored. -filthy dirty carpets-dusty and dirty fans in each room-bedding full of hair (NSV, came and changed the upstairs linen)-scorching hot water in upstairs bathroom-dishwasher not mounted in cabinet and falls out-broken countertop, covered with cutting board-dingy and outdated mismatched furniture throughout-table for 8 with 6 chairs (one broken) and 2 plastic folding chairs-dust and cobwebs throughout house-sauna not functioning-fire pit not functioning-unable to use the advertised game room-outdoor cushions were filthy-acoustics not conducive to being able to comfortably sleep-painters tape holding vent on the wall-expired fire extingusherThere were SO many safety and hygiene concerns. The management company completely ignored our communication. VRBO brutally miscommunicated our complaints in fact they responded in an email with the incorrect dates and location. The complaints were incorrect. The whole experience was an absolute nightmare. I am going to pursue this matter with the BBB.

Well Appointed Home with Amazing View

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed for 4 days in the early spring -- cold nights, but the home has blankets and heaters and we had no problem keeping warm. The entire place was clean, the kitchen had everything we needed plus more. Towels and toilet paper were plentiful and easy to find. Plenty of space and entertainment for our kids. The house has an amazing view of the area and was located close to town and multiple trails and parks for exploring. Idyllwild is a charming community and a relaxing vacation. New Spirt Homes was wonderful to work with -- quick to answer any questions and seemingly always available. I will definitely use them again (they seem to run many of rentals in the area)

Beautiful outdoor location

Good: Beautiful view and cute outdoor spaces. Well stocked but missing some items including coffee. Property manager very responsive to fix problems with house. Bad: Property manager forces photographs of credit card and license and to sign an extra contract, none of which was REQUIRED when booking and they use an unvalidated system to store these so they need to add it to the property description. Tiny grill. A lot of items are broken like toilet seat cover, ripped leather couch and stairs, fridge did not work on arrival and spent hours with them to fix it. Acoustics carry all noise from downstairs to upstairs so difficult to sleep if people are awake.

The Perfect Dome!

Also, there’s no point in leaving because the views are absolutely amazing & the hot tub while watching the sunset is very relaxing! My husband brought his Sky Light Projector, which looked really cool on the ceiling of the dome at night time! I would book with this company again because of how clean & attention to detail everything was!
