'Once I got my head past the idea that ‘this is not a Marriott’ I came to realize this is a great hotel. Room was comfortable. I was able to park right outside the hotel front door every night. Breakfast was good. The bar area is well presented with a good mix of locals and tourists to talk to. Room attended to daily. The local town is very pleasant. Some great coffee shops and pubs.'

'The lady that greeted us was lovely and she then told us where our room was. We hoped to eat in the hotel but was told that the chef had called in unable to cook. I tried to find out if we could get breakfast next morning but nobody came back to us. Nobody told us how to exit the building in an emergency and when we left the next morning at 9.45 we had to let ourselves out and leave the keys on the bar having seen no one! 'TOP!!'

'Was nice. Breakfast was good'

'Mooie kamer maar niemand gezien van personeel of wat dan ook. Comfortabel maar vrij onpersoonlijk. Verder gewoon goed hoor, niks op aan te merken. Logging in fantastisch'

'Prima eten. Ruime slaapkamer. Vriendelijk personeel.'

'Kamers waren zeer netjes en goed onderhouden, meegegroeid met de tijd maar wel de warme feel behouden. Heerlijke bedden en rustig in de nacht. Eigen parkeerplaats is ook echt een meerwaarde!'

'Property is a castle, beautiful!'

'The apartment was exceptionally clean, Close to the shops , parking a little tight with a larger car , had a lovely stay'

'De kamer zag er netjes uit en we hebben heerlijk geslapen'

'Absolute gem of a place to stay. Gorgeous room with everything you need & so peaceful. The food was really good both for dinner & breakfast. We visited Fountains Abbey which was only 2 miles away. And we could do parkrun with plenty of time to get back before checkout & eat breakfast. Would love to return.'

'Staff were amazing 10/10 Food amazing Very accommodating Rooms says soundproof but wasn’t and corridors smell of the food, overall though we had a lovely time and used as a base and we enjoyed the food they served 10/10'

'I've stayed here, overnight, on two occasions in the last month. During both stays I have come down for a continental breakfast either at 7.45am or 8.30am only to find the through door into the breakfast area was locked and no one around to give access. This meant I had to go to a nearby shop to buy breakfast at an extra cost to me even though it was already part of my booking cost. On both occasions complained afterwards to the pub manager and received no apology as he stated breakfast was at...
