Amazing location!
Fantastic location, responsive hosts, appreciate that it’s pet friendly for our senior dog. Pity the beaches don’t allow swimming, not the fault of the hosts, and the homeless situation seems to be getting worse.

Perfect location
Great little place to stay. I almost didn’t need to drive anywhere- the beach was out the back door, and there are plenty of restaurants, coffee shops, and convenience stores nearby to walk to. Would definitely stay here again!

Starting the new year with the ocean!
Lovely stay on th we ocean walked the pier every day several times a day! Watching surfers just right for two people. Was cold but we expected that so had to bundle up and sit and drink coffee play cards and watch the ocean. The condo is very basic so pack condiments for cooking and soap for showering extra pillows if you like lots of pillows the bed has four. Such a nice location we will come again! See you again Imperial Beach!

Location , Location, Location
Beautiful view of the ocean from the second floor of a quadplex. Peaceful, quiet and safe with just the right number of local restaurants and coffee shops while you are enjoying the sound of the breaking waves. Awesome unit for a small dog as well . Stayed here to visit a few friends from San Diego county . Perfect location for my husband and I along with our 12 lb Italian Greyhound. Was very happy to stay at an affordable VRBO right on the beach. Would highly recommend.

The sound of the waves!
We've stayed here a number of times over the years, it's our refuge! The apartment is not large, it's very basic, but for us it's perfect! Bring your own coffee and can opener :-)... The main attraction for us is the ability to sleep with the sound of the surf! The waves crashing just a short distance away is the most relaxing thing in the world! It is very rare to find a rental so close to the ocean!

Location can’t be beat!
This unit was extremely comfortable for my partner and I. Catching sunset on the lanai and falling asleep to the sound of the ocean made for a very relaxing trip! We would stay here again in a heartbeat and highly recommend! As other reviews mentioned, the unit is well-appointed in a bare bones kind of way. Be sure to pack your own toiletries, beach towels, and bath mat because they are not provided by the cleaning company.

Very basic and cut short due to weather warnings “Hilary”
The interiors were very basic. There were no beach towels, no coffee, no water and only one light blanket for the very uncomfortable fold out couch. I slept on the bar and tried rotating through out the night. I went to make dinner and the can opener did not work So Trying to find a store open at 9pm was not easy. There are only three parking spots but four rentals so we had to pay for parking every eight hours. I had to get up at 1am which was not ideal for vacation and not being on a schedule. We also had the helicopter flying over and we’re surrounded by a swat team due to a crazy man in a white jump suit. I have the video footage. This place does have a Perfect view but not comfy or accommodating like most places. Also left a VM for a call back the day before our arrival and wasn’t able to speak with anyone until I called the following day. WiFi password did not work either but they resolved quickly. Left one day early due to hurricane Hilary and let the office know via email and voicemail. No return correspondence to acknowledge either message was received. Not asking for any reimbursement :) just confirmation of call returning possession.

Third time’s a charm
Third time at this property. It’s perfect for two people. We enjoy doing our own cooking and sitting on the balcony watching the ocean. The pull out bed has a terrible mattress. I even brought a foam mattress pad because I know pullout mattresses are thin, but this new one is awful. I’ll be back anyway! Thank you!

Definitely on the sand
This 1 bedroom is right on the beach which is its biggest plus. It was clean but really outdated and the furniture is in need of replacement. The bed was horrible. The neighborhood is walkable to restaurants, cool brew pubs and beaches. The neighborhood is also super loud at night. The bedroom is on the street side of the building so lots of noise all night long. The living room is on the beach side and has an awesome view of the pier and the beach, surfers and sunsets. The homeless population is really high in this area and the neighborhood felt less than safe to walk my dog at night. I doubt we’ll be returning.

Stay by the ocean
Very simple but is all you need, you will need to bring your own toiletries, would go again. It is right on the beach, and it is great to sit on the balcony and watch the ocean, surfers and the pier.

The place was a great get away, instead of going out to eat or watching T.V, cooked and sat on the balcony and listen to the waves. the other tenants were friendly . We love Imperial Beach and the Sandcastle made our stay wonderful. Our unit was well stocked and comfortable. The presence of the pier, especially at night when it’s lit up, the very active beach, restaurants within walking distance all contributed to a great week.

Great location
This cute little condo was perfect for 2 people! Great location right next to the pier! Couldn’t get the WiFi to work but we’re able to jump on the neighbor’s. Would’ve loved some ice cube trays too! Had a great time!

Wonderful view of the ocean and good location. Would like to have had more tv choices, as sports or cable channels. Did not have much as in cooking or utensils. The eating choices around were good, all in walking distance. Nice place for relaxing and watching the waves. Parking was tight but worked everything out.

Not worth it
When we arrived, we couldn't access the WIFI Network, we had to call to get access to another network. Next we realized there in no floor mat in the bathroom, shampoo or body wash. Later in the day, they left at the condo a floor mat, conditioner and body lotion. When I told the owner that we did not get any shampoo, she became very offensive, and referenced the list of items that they don't provide, insulted me that I don't know how to read, told me that I should have realized the WIFI router was discounted and I should have connected to the wall and offered $20 credit. Overall, this place is not worth the money they charge, it feels more like a motel than hotel.

This is a Gem !!
The place was good for me and my husband and two family members that visited us. The view can't be described , you will need to see to believe. Back of units is the Ocean the view of the pier, easy access to the beach. the side where the parking is , the town is walking distant, we did not drive anywhere but walked to anything we wanted to do, Plank for pool , Mr. Taco great place to eat, and other places to see and food to taste. We are planing a trip in August 2022 and stay longer. And we don't do things twice that is how we really enjoyed the time. sun bathed with my pooch and walked on the beach , all you hear is the waves , watch the surfers , we did not want to turn on the T.V Great Place !! We loved this place! It is central to the beach/pier and the main strip of Imperial Beach. Had so much fun and everything was walkable. Would recommend it and we hope to go back!

The location of this property rental is amazing… just walk off the porch & the beach is right there! The house is clean, no AC but it was absolutely not a problem… just open the windows & let the ocean breeze cool you off. Amazing 🤩 will stay here again!!

Perfect for our needs!
Perfect for our flexible, low maintenance family of four (2 kids under 4). Kids slept on inflatable mattresses next to our bed. Right on the beach, super close to restaurants, etc. Great price. Prior reviews mentioned bed discomfort, but we found the bed to be super comfy (we brought our own pillows). Property could benefit from an umbrella base that keeps umbrella locked in (once you open it, the ocean breeze tries to lift it up !). Without an umbrella to use, the afternoons can get pretty sunny. Otherwise, perfect perfect!

Wonderful location
Pros: 1.On the beach property 2. Has a balcony overlooking the beach 3. Overall pretty quite 4. You can hear the waves day and night, which is the most beautiful thing about this property. Cons: 1. The beach had sewer problems, where we couldn’t swim. 2. The bed and pillows were not comfortable at all. It was really tough to sleep on for 6 days of vacation. 3. The main issue with this property is parking. There is only 3 spots for 4 apartments. We have been given a spot but it should not be our responsibility to communicate with the neighbors. We had to move our car back and forth multiple times throughout a day morning and night. There is a $2.00 public parking right up front of the house, if I was the owner I would reserve one or two of these spots for my business and don’t even think about bringing a big car/truck.

Cute little beach place.
Our stay was very relaxing and peaceful with great ocean views. The management is awesome if any needs arise and the owner has a wonderful guy, Mike, who does maintenance work. PS. The sliding door won’t lock if you don’t shut it tight first per Mike’s demo. 😎

Loved it!
Perfect spot for us to stay while visiting grandson in the Navy. Loved the low key atmosphere, beach and pier. Several excellent restaurants close by. Would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful Stay!
We had a terrific time staying at this property. Obviously, the location couldn't be any better - right on the beach and easy walking distance to several restaurants, two breweries, an ice cream/coffee shop and two nearby convenience stores. The property was clean and had everything we needed. This is an older building, but the kitchen has been recently remodeled and was lovely. We like to cook so this was a big plus for us. Most of the furniture appears to be near new. The location was not only perfect, but quiet - we didn't hear any noise from the street or from the beach. The balcony is a wonderful place to sit and enjoy the weather. The property management did a good job checking in with us and providing us with all the information we needed for our stay. We had a slight issue with the dishwasher and notified the property manager. They contacted me immediately and sent their maintenance person to fix the problem in a timely manner. The only improvements I would suggest are a black out curtain on the bedroom window (there is a pull down shade on one, but morning light comes through the mini blinds on the other), good quality new sheets and pillows (the existing ones have seen better days) and kitchen towels for the kitchen. There were plenty of hand towels in the bathroom that could be used, but I prefer a kitchen to have towels that are strictly for kitchen use. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return to the property in the future.
