Pros: THE VIEW! Spectacular 180 degree view across the lake to Incline Village and shoreline. The bed, very soft, comfortable with good quality sheets. Some new knives present, nice plates and bowls. Outdoor deck had a BBQ and small table/chairs as shown. Washer /dryer a bonus! Because our trip was originally scheduled during the heavy smoke from forest fires, and subsequent evacuations, the owners were kind enough to allow us to reschedule for a few weeks later.
Cons: This property is rustic and as such appears to be in original condition. The staircase is quite steep and a bit wobbly. No outdoor lighting except in parking area. The driveway is very steep and with the pine needles present (or snow in winter) caused the car (an AWD) to slide down. Although the unit was basically clean, it could use a deep cleaning as dustballs were present in many places, water damage and cracks in wood on window ledges, doors, and ceiling, towels were old, torn, and had blood-like stains on them. Kitchen had a mishmash of utensils, and only 3 old forks, knives, and spoons, none matching, creating a need for frequent dishwashing. Communication with the property management company was terrible at best, they still have not answered emails from July, and August. The management company has also not refunded my money, despite requests to do so and it has been over 4 weeks. Book at your own risk.
