We came for a long weekend with the whole family and eight of us slept comfortably and found the house and Views to be beautiful. We definitely want to go back. We typically come in the winter, but the pictures of the house and the other Seasons look spectacular as well. We appreciate our opportunity to enjoy our brief vacation and this beautiful space.

Family Memotial Gathering

We needed a place to stay to attend my fathers memorial service. The chalet was perfect. Loved the view and all the special touches that made the place so homey and comfortable.

Beautiful Oasis

We absolutely loved our time in the chalet. It was so cozy & has the most beautiful views. The owner has done a wonderful job with the landscaping outdoors & there are so many sweet touches inside to make you feel at home. We will treasure our memories from our stay & we hope to visit again.

The house was perfect. Just right for four of us. Communication was great, had all the info needed before arrival. Home was in great shape, everything worked as you'd expect. We'll most likely rent again!

perfect setting

Great place to stay for a central location to do hikes and such. Private and relatively quiet. You can hear the cars on 30 but it's not bad at all. Lots of room. Beautiful scenery. Great deck to hang out on. Perfect place to come back to after a day out and about.

Beautiful winter getaway

The chalet is in a great location, close drive to multiple towns. It was snowing when we went, the views were so beautiful. Everything in the chalet was clean and more than enough room for my family and our dog. The owner, Roberta McColl is extremely helpful and responsive during the entire process, had some issues with booking on Vrbo but she made sure everything was resolved. Overall excellent stay!

Amazing location and very cozy

My wife and I had a wonderful time at the chalet. Close enough to the towns offerings. Only downside was we did not have internet service at the house. Overall amazing place and recommend to anyone who wants to stay in the adk

Cozy, homey cabin with beautiful view. Everything you need, not much of what you don’t. Shared between 3 couples without feeling on top of each other.

Our second time staying! Does not disappoint. Great coffee views, fun fire pit and spacious! Close to hiking trails, Indian lake boat launch, movie theater, great country stores and ADK museum! Can't wait to return. Roberta was great to talk to and extended our check out time! Beautiful spot!

Great stay at the Chalet

Thanks for a great home base for checking out the area. Fit 2 families of 4 comfortably. The place is right on the main road, but that didn’t matter since the view out back and outdoor space was private and large. Indoor area was as expected- loved the historic feel — and that there was a dishwasher. Centrally located.

On a scale of 1 to 5, I give it a solid ok. I would recommend if someone asked, but not seek it out specifically. The house was pretty good. Price was a bit higher than we hoped. Host was fine. The location was not that convenient for skiing at Gore.

A Marvelous Vacation

We spent a week at the chalet in October of 2022. It was a wonderful experience. Grand views from the deck looking over the mountains The location is excellent and central to the Adirondacks. The chalet was large, well equipped and very clean. The owner was available and supportive. We could not have asked for more.... We hope to return again Stephen

I'm sure this will be a nice stay once the construction downstairs is completed. Wish host had disclosed the rennovations weren't done. The unfinished stairs were off-limits for the children.The views are lovely, and there was enough room for sleeping arrangements.
