All the inside common areas were extremely hot about 80-85 degrees. We were dripping sweat. We should have been emailed the ac wasn’t working, we would have switched hotels. Pool was under construction, again we should have been notified about this prior, we would have not stayed there. Our room door wouldn’t open, ( dead battery ) we had to wait nearly an hour in a 85 degree hallway for them to fix it. I asked for a different room so we didn’t have to wait, the hotel front desk attendant lied about no rooms left available, when 15 min before the door issue, I asked for an airport view room, she said we only have two rooms left open for the night. Ac in the room took 3 hours to come down one degree, that wasn’t working correctly either. Not up to par with the expectation of staying at a Wyndham property. Horrible horrible experience would not recommend staying at this property. Also I asked the general manager to call me regarding the property asap, still waiting………

The room was spacious and the area was quiet, the amenities were to my satisfaction My only complaint is that all the workers there need to speak English. I asked a question to a female worker, who's Hispanic, and she couldn't answer the question because of her lack of English. Other than that, I enjoyed my stay there.

The hotel did not acknowledge our reservation through Expedia. They said it’s first come first serve and they do not go by Expedia. Why was this even available to book through Expedia? We did get a room eventually but it was a hassle. I will never use Expedia ever again.

Since arrival, this visit has been nothing but disappointment and difficulty. The service in the restaurant has been slow (at best) and intermittent. We have been consistently kept waiting for 10-15 minutes before any wait staff was even present to seat us or acknowledge our presence. The few requests we have made (such as an extra chair so both my wife and I would have a place to sit in our room) have been summarily dismissed as "not possible". The elevators are unresponsive and their performance unpredictable. The staff has been long on apologies and short on suggestions for solutions. Another example just this evening: There has been a prominent sign in front of the restaurant since our arrival advertising "happy hour Sunday - Thursday". When we asked about the details we were told that this was a lie and the actual offer would not be valid for a couple more weeks. When I tried to ask for a manager I was told that none were available because you don't appear to think that there should be any management on duty on Sunday! The restaurant appears to have two different printed menus with no real way for a customer to know which listed the actual items available. The wait staff told us that they change items often and customers cannot really know what are valid entrees. Since retirement my wife and I have traveled extensively around the US and Europe and have NEVER seen such a farce in a name brand hotel.

Property is very dated. I paid the extra money for a Wyndham and plumbing fixtures were rusty and it was loud. I was originally given the wrong type of room. A worker even knew about the issues before I mentioned them.

The entire hotel was out of soap- I was handed shampoo when asking for some. My room was 75 degrees and stayed that way the entire first night even after maintenance came by. The bed was extremely bowed and the pillows were toddler sized. Will never book here again.

My stay at the Wyndham Indianapolis West Hotel was less than satisfactory. Firstly, the A/C seemed to be stuck on a frigid 64 degrees, making the room uncomfortably cold. Despite the efforts of a friendly mechanic, the issue remained unresolved so they moved us into a different room that was bigger but only partially clean and included a shared door to the room next to our room. Navigating the hotel was another challenge, particularly on the third floor where there were no clear directions to find your room. Upon reaching my room, the window view was disappointing, overlooking unsightly A/C units and a heap of dirty mattresses. Although the customer service was prompt in responding to complaints, the two different rooms I was moved to still had remnants of previous guests. Trash lingering behind the bed and stains on the mattress cover were unsettling discoveries. As for dining options, the restaurant, Flights Tap House, was a letdown. With only Budlight on tap and a mere two employees, the experience was underwhelming. Overall, my experience at the Wyndham Indianapolis West Hotel fell short of expectations, and I would not recommend it to others.

We had a great stay. Still not used to the limited room cleaning & linen service post-COVID, but they did inform us that bedding would not be changed for stays less than 3 days. We didn’t realize we would need to request trash removal & towels when needed. It was nice to have a decent restaurant on site & they handle the eclipse crowds very well. There was also a billiards tournament going on during our stay & that was handled very well also in terms of the numbers of guests & bar/restaurant device. I would visit again if in Indianapolis.

This hotel has clearly seen better days. I was hopeful that the Wyndham branding would result in a nice-ish room, especially given the exorbitant pricing for the eclipse, but it was a mediocre stay at best. Reasonable beds, mostly clean room, outdated shower and shower curtain that didn't quite fit the rod, no fan in the bathroom, smell in the hallways of past smoking, random beer cans left in the elevator and hallways. The hotel served the purpose as a place to sleep but I'll chose an alternate hotel next time. Not worth $432 for the night especially with no continental breakfast. $80 value at best...

The night I checked in I asked if breakfast was included. As the answer to this I was shown where breakfast is served and what were the hours. In the morning we (2 grownups and 1 child) went to the area where we where pointed to. The ususal buffet style eggs, sousage buiscuit and gravy where available, plus coffee and orange juice. After I had small brekfast from what was available we wre presented with almost $50 bill. I thought it was a mistake and went taked to the front desk explaining that I specifically asked about breakfast being included the night before and was not told it wasn't. The manager came and told me that they did not serve continental breakfast and I owned them the money. I felt tricked into this not mention the food was way below any buffet quality, where at least I would get a discount for a child. I found the the whole situation very dishonest on the side of the managent. They had a chance to set me straight but chose not to do so. At the check out I asked them to post prices and the entry to the "buffet" so no more people get tricked into this. If I knew that the food was not included I would never chose to eat there.

TV did not work. Sent security guard to fix it and she said she had no idea how to. That took a hour for her to show up. Tiny bottles of shampoo and conditioner that were so hard to squeeze and nothing came out! So disappointed!!
