'This site was just greenspace on the edge of an industrial estate when I grew up here and it seemed a little weird pulling into an area where I had my first driving lessons on a Saturday morning as it was all but deserted over the weekend. Not now, there's a busy looking pub literally staggering distance away, the ubiquitous Greggs, few other structures the purpose of which didn't register. Very quiet, all I can hear is doves cooing.
Staff friendly, nice to even have staff, last place I stayed...

'No pin code was given to gain entry. Had to call number on email confirmation. Listing stated parking. In fact street parking or nearby Carpark isn’t the same. As a contractor can security is paramount with van theft. So was annoyed to find out that no private parking was available. Room was clean and tidy and warm. And cleaned daily. '

The only issue which is symptom of old stone buildings was nowhere to plug devices in. Finally found a power board under the bed. But minor issue.'

We had a nice-sized room, a little basically furnished but adequate and very clean, with a very comfortable 6’ double bed. Menus gave us a good choice and the food was enjoyed. Very good value for money and, when in the area, this would be our first choice of accommodation.'

"Het hotel is gezellig en netjes. Helaas hadden wij last van Duiven en konden de ramen minimaal open. Er was ook geen airco en ventilator… dus lekker benauwd! "
