Great early winter break
Great cottage - photos don’t do it justice. Well supplied kitchen with everything you could need or want. Cosy and comfortable lounge, wood burner was lovely and all the tv and internet worked perfectly making it a great hideaway even in poor weather. Comfy bedroom with electric blankets - perfect for lazy winter mornings.

A great find
We had a lovely stay, the accommodation was spotless and wonderfully presented. Lots of little extras which made it very homely. The bed heaters were much appreciated as the weather had turned cold. Will definitely stay again if we are in the area!

Inveraray stay
We loved our stay in Furnace (Inveraray area)! The guest house was very nice and cozy - we loved staying there and it was great access to all of the area. One of our favorite things was having tea in the morning and looking out on all of our 'neighbors' (the sheep) - even naming a few of them! The weather was not exactly cooperative - but then again it was expected - but the house was a real bright spot in our stay and we would love to come back and visit again. Thanks again

Things to consider....
Nice location, with the loch to one side and the fields to the rear , good size lounge and tv , functional kitchen , and two nice size bedrooms , however the bathroom is letting the property down , needs updating , + rad also kitchen needs rad as when we arrived the house was cold ! and the conservatory was too cold to sit in , and also general entertainment of tv/ sky etc only few channels to watch ? , so not good for winter/ xmas stay and not the best price point either / however all this aside nice area to visit

Oh no ..I’m wondering if perhaps the heating wasn’t on prior to your arrival? Hopefully the wood burner soon made it toasty though ? Sorry you didn’t think bathroom was ‘up to par’ it has been updated-eek- although doesn’t have underfloor heating which was my mistake :-( The TV is a ‘Smart tv’ so guests can access their Netflix/Prime otherwise only normal channels I’m afraid (not advertised as having Sky -it’s for signal only) but there’s a DVD player and good selection of DVDs Pleased you enjoyed the area though. -phew

A beautiful little house in a quiet rural location. Perfectly equipped with everything you could need and warm and cosy if the night temperatures drop. Lovely outside space to eat and drink ideal for a bbq. Good communication from the host. Overall perfect in every way and highly recommended!

Not very dog friendly on main road and except for a fab village shop, had to drive everywhere
Said Cairnish booked it thinking walking distance to pubs and restaurants. Couch was so uncomfortable sat on dining chairs, shower ran hot n cold. Dogs not allowed anywhere and fined 50 pound if poo found in garden, crockery all chipped and frying pans unusable, disappointing!!

The garden is fully enclosed once gates are shut and it does advise that due to remote location a car is necessary. I will get my housekeeper to re-check crockery etc and replace if needed so thank you for bringing it to my attention. I do request that guests bringing their 4-legged friends are ‘responsible dog owners.’. Sadly it was not the case this time. The bed throw was discovered by my housekeeper, discarded in the bathtub, covered with (dog ) urine stains, which was both disappointing and upsetting. It is an offence not to clean up after your dog (and carries a £1000 fine if caught!)….and my gardener would argue that £50 isn’t nearly enough compensation when he had to do this because of your failure not-to, prior to your departure.

Well equipped house with peaceful views
We stayed for a week for our family summer holiday. The house had everything we needed plus comfy beds and lovely views from the garden. It is a short drive to Inveraray which has a Co-op plus a nice cafe called Brambles and gift shops. The jail is good and the castle really nice plus there is a fun walk up the hill there for great views. Further up the loch the Loch Fyne Oyster Bar is a must visit! One day we drove to Kennacraig and took the ferry to Islay for the day to visit the distilleries. Thanks for having us!

Wrong side of the road
Back views lovely but spoilt by busy main road with heavy construction lorries. Quieter at night so didn’t interfere with sleeping. Nice light property and pretty conservatory nice for breakfast. Just found the seating and in lounge, uncomfortable as cushions too squashy and no back support. We spent more time at the house than we’d intended due to an injury. Poor picture quality on tv. Kitchen well equipped. Nice comfy beds and liked the blinds and pretty curtains for blocking light. Plenty of cupboard and wardrobe space. Could do with new Garden chairs and table. Easy parking and good access to Inveraray and sight seeing. Just about see Loch Fyne from the lounge window which was nice. More attention to cleaning the kitchen and oven which had been missed. Generally a nice house but could be more comfortable.

Fabulous cottage
We had a fantastic long weekend at Fairfield Cottage. It had everything we needed. Cosy and clean, with a lovely home from home feeling. We were so lucky to have fantastic weather and sat in the garden overlooking stunning views. My husband got up very early one morning and climbed to the top of the hill and took a photo of the cottage from the top. We will definitely be back. It was wonderful in every way.

Lovely getaway
Lovely cottage and garden area which both myself and partner felt immediately relaxed and at home with. Beautiful area with views of the hills and Loch. Cottage had everything to meet our needs. Would love to revisit. Only slight and I mean slight was that as it was warm weather the lovely duvets were very high tog and a bit too hot for us personally.

A stunning getaway
Travelled with my hubby and our 2 young girls. The cottage is in a peaceful location with a pebble shore just 2 minutes walk along the road. Every room is beautifully decorated and the sun room and log burner give the perfect touch. We stayed for 4 nights and didn't want to leave. Hope to return soon

Home from home
We spent a lovely relaxing three days at Fairfield over the New Year period. The house itself was exactly as described and it's clear that the owners have taken a great deal of care and thought into producing a comfortable, well presented and equipped home for their guests. We ventured out to Lochgilphead and Crinan for a day in beautiful sunshine and spent New Years day undertaking the Leacainn Walk which starts a few metres away from the property. The location is excellent and the scenery stunning in all weathers. I would definitely recommend and wouldn't hesitate to return.

We want to live here!
My husband, adult daughter, and I fell completely in love with this wonderful, sweet house! Decorated with excellent taste, this cottage is extremely comfortable in every room. Dining and relaxing in the beautiful solarium was a special treat, even (and maybe especially) during the rainy times. Although on a well-traveled road, it was very peaceful and quiet during the day, and in particular at night. Self-check in was easy, and communication with the host quick and clear. In addition this fantastic little home, we give our heartiest recommendations to the Loch Fyne Oyster Restaurant (near Cairndow) and Inverary Castle.

Gorgeous sunroom
This property was lovely. A very high level of finishes, clean, great WiFi but the sunroom was just to die for. Even in the pouring rain I could sit there for hours and watch the weather move over the hills. Would highly recommend!

Dieses Häuschen würden wir wieder buchen. Liebevoll hergerichtet, mit allem ausgestattet, was man benötigt. Leider funktioniert die Erstattung der Kaution nicht so reibungslos, obwohl wir die volle Summe laut eMail zurück erhalten, wie wir uns das wünschen. An absolutely beautiful country home!
This was our first time in the Scottish Highlands and this House was the perfect introduction. Communication was great and the location was ideal - close to Inveraray, Oban and Glencoe. There is hiking close by as well as lovely views of the Loch. The house, with its sunny, cozy conservatory, was the nicest I’ve ever rented. The beds and down comforters were heavenly, the water was hot and the house was spotless. I would recommend this house to anyone who wants to experience the beauty of the Scottish Highlands!

Ein kleines Juwel...
Wenn man verwunden hat, dass das Cottage nicht direkt am Loch Fyne, sondern direkt an der A83 liegt, kann man sich dort uneingeschränkt wohl fühlen. Geschmackvoll eingerichtet, sehr gut ausgestattet, etliche lohnenswerte Ziele in der näheren Umgebung, in Inveraray gute Restaurants und leckeren Whisky - ein Platz zum rundum wohl fühlen. Abends bis elf im Wintergarten bei einer Flasche Wein lesen, was will man mehr? Wir kommen gerne wieder...und ein großes Lob an die freundliche Wirtin!

Charming and Cosy
Beautiful cottage with stunning views all round. Everything you could possibly need is provided for. We had perfect weather (still freezing) which made our stay more enjoyable. Visited the castle and jail in the charming little town of Inveraray. Couldnt have asked for a better place to stay. Super cottage in quiet lochside location
We stayed at Fairfield for two weeks and really enjoyed it. Although on the main road, it is far enough back not to be troubled by traffic and has great views over Loch Fyne to the front and the hills to the rear. We had the complete range of Scottish winter weather and every day the views from the cottage were different. Easy to get to Inveraray and Lochgilphead and great for exploring Argyll generally. Cottage well equipped and comfortable but could be a bit draughty for surviving the winter excesses. We were very thankful for the very comfortable bed, the super duvet and the electric blankets !!!

Very cozy and charming cottage
My kids and I stayed 2 nights here and really enjoyed the cozy atmosphere. The cottage is older but has so much charm and character, it was very easy to relax here. The sound of the rain on the conservatory glass mixed with the crackling fire was a nice bonus and the location made visiting Inveraray easy. The property was clean and well equipped with good private parking.

Beautiful little house with two bedrooms. Which is great. You can sleep in the double room and keep clothes and suitcases etc in the twin room. Plenty of space for a couple. Lovely little wood-burning stove. Internet connection is good for the location. Wonderful conservatory with fantastic views. Drive from airport spectacular. Loch Fyne Oysters ..... are the best. With the captivating countryside it is the perfect romantic setting. Highly recommend.
