Great little place to stay for the Loch
Great little place to stay. The room was clean and the ensuite bathroom was great - the shower is fantastic! It's in a good location with beautiful views and good places to eat nearby.

The hostel had a nice and clean private room for me and my friend. We used a lockbox system to retrieve the key when the owner sent over the lock code. Great location just down the road from the Loch Ness Centre and over the road from the bus stop

There are clear instructions provided by the staff for finding the hostel and entering the room. The staff is friendly as well. Flexible check-in. Can park car at the rear of the hostel. The room is clean and en-suite which is very good.

Great especially for the price.
Perfect location. I’m traveling with my 5&3 year old and the bunk bed was perfect. Quiet and the person running it let me do laundry past closing (it’s outside so the sound didn’t bother anyone).

The room wasn't warm enough. There is no heating in the bathroom. TV service was awkward. Privacy in the room was a little under my requirement. There is no microwave in the kitchen.

Using text/email for check-in information was overall interesting and convenient, giving necessary information, but did not allow for customer response. I couldn't access the Wi-Fi and ate through a chunk of data on my phone. Aside from that the facilities were comfortable, clean, and equipped with en-suites. Furnishing is minimal but cozy, no desks but the sofa is comfortable. Good for short stays.

Tight parking spots in the property. They could add more warmth in the common areas. Great hostel overall and a great option for visiting the Loch Ness area.

My friend and I had been outside all night and when we talked to reception at 8am they immediately gave us a room. Such lovely people and it warmed our hearts. Great location in Drumnadrochit. Highly recommend.

I will be complaining that the window was broken open. Hostel was on A82. I heard every vehicle go by and got very little sleep. Also strong damp smell.

Good pit stop stay
We stayed just the one night on our way home. The cabin was very clean. Arrangements were made so that we had no physical contact with the staff which, as our stay was during the Covid 19 pandemic, was very good. We were able to park right outside the door. There was a picnic table and chairs for our use right out side too. The communal kitchen was clean, the laundry room seemed well supplied though we had no need to use it. Inside the cabin the beds were comfortable, the TV worked well with no interference (in fact I have the very same TV in my own home) WiFi reception was good. The shower worked well though it takes a while for the hot water to come through which is usually par for the course when using this kind of accommodation. Only minor point to improve on was that the towels, though very clean, were also quite well worn. All in all an enjoyable, comfortable stay with a good nights sleep, which is all we were after. Will definitely stay again on our way to and from Orkney.

Stayed for 1 night as part of a longer journey, ideal for what we needed. Ideally located for amenities and restaurants. Room had a private entrance, ensuite and was self check in/ check out.

High Standard Hostel
Due to Covid-19, no staff on site but information all sent via email on how to check in & out. With a contact number on the front door if needed to get hold of anybody. The hostel as a public Laundrette in the car park which was useful. My room had a TV a suprise for a hostel but unfortunately it was not tuned in.

A real value for money
My booking was redirected to 1 lochness sister company. It was a bit farther but the the room more spacious and the common areas for dining and kitchen is also spacious and able to accomodate more people at the same time. It was clean, heating and is good.

On day of stay owner contacted me to tell me that he was transferring me to the sister hostel which was only 5 minutes down the road due to coronavirus. I was okay with this as he tome me it was 5 minutes away from the hostel. It was Far longer and out in the middle of nowhere- only way to get to Drumnadrochit was to drive as you would spend ages walking there and back. When we got to the hostel the room hadn’t been cleaned yet and we had already entered the room (covid risk!!). In the end we did not stay due to the poor communication and standard of the hostel we were transferred to. Definitely nothing like what was expected. We were refused a refund for the property which was highly disappointing given the situation.

Annoying fire exit light.
Confortable and clean. Well equipped communal areas. However the green fire exit light in our room kept us awake so not much sleep! No way to switch it off.
