'Loved this place. Very communicative owner. They accidentally charged me 5x (nearly $2000) for a stay that’s under $500. Owner was responsive and refunded me immediately. Would stay here again. Just make sure they only charge you 1x for your stay. Lol'

'We had a wonderful stay. Due to an incoming storm, we weren’t sure we would make it up the mountain for our reservation. The property owner was helpful and accommodating and provided us with weather and traffic links used by locals, which proved to be extremely helpful. 'Great communication from the innkeeper and they did a great job meeting our needs for a late check in and early check out! Only minor issue was a powerful motion-activated light in the parking lot and some room noise from the neighboring room that woke us up briefly, but all in all was a great option and we'll be back! p.s. the Easter decorations were really impressive!'

'Small and cozy. I liked that the premises was small but the room was smaller than expected. Not a big deal. More ideal for one person but still very well taken care of. They had great common areas. We walked over to the bar on-site which gave a speakeasy vibe and we loved it! Checking in was super easy and the staff was very nice and accommodating. It’s a small walk to the village which was super convenient. We will be back! '

'My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Chipowood. It was everything we were hoping to experience. We always had the fireplace going, enjoyed wine in the hot tub, walked easily to the lake, walked around the beautiful neighborhood, and drove to many of the close restaurants like big bear mountain brewery! 'We ended up staying here last minute because an other property we had booked had cancelled our stay. It was easy and quick to book, with excellent communication and service.
