I had high expectations for this room/unit after reading overwhelmingly positive reviews on hotel.com. Unfortunately, my experience was neither smooth nor a positive one. When I tried to contact Stayrene, the day before my stay on the number that was given to me in the confirmation email, they couldn't help me at all and offered another number to contact. When that number failed to respond I had to try another number. After some time, I managed to get the check-in details I needed and a unit was allocated to me which was on the first floor. The guide and check-in instructions sent to me were clear and straightforward enough. I registered at security and got the key and went up to my unit. I opened the metal gate and attempted to open the main door. You could literally feel the whole door move in and out when the door was pushed and pulled while unlocking it, almost like it had been kicked in before and hastily fixed up for the next customer. Entering the unit, you see the dining table and chairs which looked ok with tableware laid out quite nicely. The living area was a different picture though. The Ikea coffee table and sofa looked so old and worn that I didn't feel comfortable sitting in it. The bathroom again looked very old and used especially in the master en suite, so much so that my family and I didn't use it at all. The common bathroom was a bit better but we felt the water pressure and hot water for the shower was poor.
