Casa Mayaland een afgelegen Jungle-oase!

Mayaland is een privéoase verborgen voor de hoofdweg, maar handig voor alles. Deze woning met 3 slaapkamers is speciaal ontworpen om uw verblijf op elke manier perfect te maken. Het hoofdgebouw heeft 2 slaapkamers en 2 badkamers met een modern open conceptontwerp. De keuken van de chef-kok bevat alles wat je nodig hebt om de meest gecompliceerde maaltijd te bereiden. Dineer binnen of buiten en geniet van de serene omgeving.

De open woonkamer is voorzien van een ingebouwd dagbed dat comfortabel 2 kinderen of 1 volwassene zal slapen. Afzonderlijk van het hoofdhuis is een mooie casita met een queensize bed en een eigen badkamer. De casita heeft een Palapa-dak dat u eraan herinnert dat u in Mexico bent en toch over alle moderne gemakken van een luxe hotel beschikt.

Het huis is omgeven door een hoge schutting die het zwembad en de hot tub samen met de buitenkeuken omsluit. Luister naar de waterval die in het zwembad stroomt en slaap rustig weg van enig weggeluid. Loop vanuit elke kamer de tuin in en je zult nooit meer weg willen. Het huis en casita zullen comfortabel slapen 7 volwassenen of 6 volwassenen en 2 jonge kinderen.

Private Tropical Oasis

The house was unexpectedly wonderful and just what we needed for a relaxing vacation. The Private backyard made it seem like we were alone and we had at least two days where we did not leave the property because we just wanted some low-key time. There was fresh water always available The house was beautiful and we even had a spacious rooftop space for sunrises, sunsets, and even some morning yoga.

Peace and Love

Walking in, it looked exactly like the pictures. It is a beautiful home with a boho feel tucked in on the quiet south side of the island. We enjoyed hanging out in the hot tub and pool. We never needed to call the management because everything was perfect. We often went to Kin Ha for their beach club, which was laid-back and affordable. Having The Joint so close for their food and fantastic music was also excellent.

Hidden oasis

This property is beautiful and has everything you need. I saw in previous posts that said the hot tub was not hot, that was not the case, it got hot for us and was a wonderful addition. Sunrise on the roof top is beautiful. There were fresh water dispensers in the house and casita were a nice touch. Plenty of towels and there were beach towels for each guest. The bed are very comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped and the washer and dryer worked well. If you get a golf cart there is an area you can park it within the gates. We will be back!

Loved Mayaland!

We loved our stay at Mayaland! Beautiful home, great for a family or couples as there are 3 bedrooms with full baths. All the conveniences of home, maximum 10 minute walk to Punta Sur, Kin Ha and Garrafin. Quick taxi or bus ride to north beach. Pool and patio are lovely! Would definitely recommend and stay again!

Beautiful Secluded Home

This was my first time visiting this beautiful home and came highly recommended by a friend who has stayed in the home on 3 separate occasions. This home is thoughtfully decorated and welcoming. The home was clean and just far away enough from the hustle and bustle of the main streets.

The property was a great size and location for us and we generally really liked it for our stay. The only slight issue was the quality of the decked area outside which was a bit rotten in places which made it a bit dangerous. However, we did love it and would defintely stay again. The cat was a character and stayed with us when we were outside.

Isla Mujeres vacation

What a great space for vacation. The outdoor living area is absolutely gorgeous. The house is fully stocked with anything you need. Very quiet neighborhood and off the beaten path. We enjoyed our stay very much!!

Mayaland NICE!!!

Everything about Mayaland was great! Such a nice place to relax. I know other reviews talk about "Gato" but she is cool and greeted us upon every return. I to am allergic to cats so pet her with a stick, she likes that!

Year end vacation

We were at Mayaland the end of Dec 2023 into the new year. Overall a pleasant stay. Team was very responsive when we had questions or issues. 2 areas of concern: 1. The water pressure wasn't the best. They did come to fix it but not all showers had better pressure after. 2. There is a cat on the premises which was not noted in the listing. They got rid of it for a few hours the first day but it came back and did not leave the whole 6 days we were there. There were signs posted on the property not to feed the cat but we did see cat food in the house. Which means the owner knows of the cat. If you are afraid of or allergic to cats, please be aware. My husband is allergic so he was sneezing alot while we were there but the cat didn't bother us too much.

Spectacular stay

There is nothing we wanted for. I booked this property for 2 couples. We wanted a little oasis to relax in and thats exactly what we got. It was so clean, very comfortable, and had an excellent vibe. We were happy to be down at the quiet end of the island, and enjoyed the drive along the water when we wanted to go to Centro or the Colonias. I have no complaints about the property at all. The hot tub never got more than a few degrees warmer than the pool, but this was not an issue for us at all. I would book again in a heartbeat. Wish I was still there! For us, the best bonus was the kitty that lived in the yard, very friendly and adorable. She's not allowed in the house, so if you have allergies, no worries.

This property was so beautiful and well kept. It comfortably fit 7 of us and we had a blast. The directions for the place from the ferry dock was clear and understandable. Our host was super communicative. 10/10 no notes.

Beautiful Property.

Gorgeous property in an “off the beaten path” location. Which was perfect for our family (6 adults and 1infant). We rented a golf cart for the duration of our stay, this is a must for any kind of exploring and shopping. There is no phone in the house for local calls, so unless you have a Mexico phone/data plan you cannot contact cabs or order food. The wifi was mostly very good, but at times non existent, so again you were stuck if you didn’t have your own plan to call cabs or food. This is not a complaint, but just advice. It is truly great to be away from the busy area and just enjoy your family. Kitchen was the best of any place we have ever rented, and we have been renting for years. Very well equipped and lacked for nothing, so if you plan to cook a lot, as we did, it is perfect. The outdoor space is great. The deck is in need of some repairs however and was a little unsafe for an 11 month old baby. Pool area is amazing, we emptied the skimmer ourselves once or twice a day because there is a lot of foliage. We also swept the deck area often, again because of the infant and large amount of tree droppings. If there was any negative, it was probably this. In the 9 days we stayed, the pool staff only showed once and did minimal cleaning. Same with the gardener. The debris took away from how spectacular the space is. Any issues we did have were addressed promptly and resolved very quickly. Overall, we would not hesitate to rent again.

Beautiful, quiet and relaxing

Beautiful property! This was our second time on the island and we had another wonderful experience. Quiet neighborhood. The house had everything we were looking for our vacation. Check in was easy and efficient. Place was clean and kitchen had everything you would need for functioning kitchen. A/C worked well. Plenty of room for 6 people. Pool and hot tub are awesome. We loved this place. Only issue we had was how to start the oven. No temperature dial so had to guess but it worked out. We will definitely be back to Isla Mujeres and we would definitely stay at Mayaland again!

Could of been better!

Check in with Jan was great! The house on the inside was as pictured. The outside was way out dated. I fell through the deck by the bbq pit just walking and busted my leg. It’s all weak wood over there. The pool was dirty with leaves on the top and bottom. I called maintenance and the number didn’t match the booklet inside. Emailed and they did respond promptly to clean the pool. They only skimmed the top and left the bottom full of leaves. The 2nd day there we got in the pool and played some music but it was all before 9pm and the neighbor to the right looking at the gate threatened to call the cops on us for music. We are in our 45-55 range and we’re not crazy loud. The other side of neighbors were great! I do not go on vacation to sit in the house! I would remove the suitcase showing under the 2nd bedroom in the house wrapped in Saran Wrap as it made everyone feel uncomfortable. We called for a massage in the book and the number was not the right one. The booklet inside needs updated for sure. The day before we left they cleaned the pool great but it should be cleaned before arrival. I texted Jan for he is a masseuse our last night there and he showed and and gave a great massage! I will not return to this property. Inside of the house stays cold and utilities worked great.

Beautiful and quiet

This property is stunning. The house is as it looks in the pictures beautiful and spacious. House was clean, the a/c worked great, and had no issues. It’s out of the hustle of the city but not far from anything you would need. We would definitely stay here again. Jean and Alex were awesome hosts!!

Casa Mayaland Doesn't Disappoint

Our normal spot on the island wasn't available, so we booked with Casa Mayaland. It was a wonderful experience. The compound is amazing. Once you walk through the gate, you are literally in your on little resort. The main house is very nice and has all the amenities. It has two very nice bedrooms. The master bedroom has a bathroom in the bedroom. The other bedroom is adjacent to the bathroom. Both rooms have lats of storage and closet space. The AC's work really good. The Casita is a bedroom with bathroom included. AC also works very well. The Casita is cover by a huge palapa. The pool and hot tub are very nice and the hottub works great. The first night it wasn't getting hot but Alex, the maintenance guy, came right over the next day and reset the unit. It worked just fine after that. We had a local chef come cook two meals for us and she said it was one of the nicest kitchens on the island. There is also a grill and outside dorm room fridge. Highly recommend Casa Mayaland.

Awesome accommodations February 2023’

Third visit to isla, by far this was the best property we have stayed at to date. Secluded interior street 90 second walk to the main roadway. Two bedroom inside, one bedroom self contained unit in outdoor building. Rooftop patio affords all day sunlight, view of the ocean. Property has a pool with spiller hot tub, barbecue area and an outdoor covered area to dine in in case it rains. Kitchen is large and has all the amenities minus a dishwashwer. Plenty of dishes, bowls, cutlery glasses, etc. main floor laundry, large bathrooms giid water pressure etc etc. list goes on Would definitely rent here again, only detractor was the barbecue which needs an upgrade

Great property and location

This house worked perfect for the 8 of us over Christmas. Jennifer was very sweet and patient waiting for us when were late getting to island do to transportation. Both Jennifer and owner were fast in responding with any issues or questions we had. House will sleep 7 comfortably , with 2 in each room, 2 in casita, and one on couch bed in living room. Could do 2 on couch if small children. We loved the location of the house since it’s with in walking distance of El Borracho Burro. Also super close is the Joint and Kin Ha beach club among others. We had golf carts so getting around was a breeze. If you like the hustle and bustle of plya Norte, this is not for you. It’s less busy on the south end and we preferred that! Short, maybe 10 to 15 min in golf cart to north end and so much to see and stop at on your way. House had everything needed for meals if needed. Pool was great, although hot tub was not functioning properly. Owner is aware and will be repairing. They responded so quickly with the issue so no stars removed! Can be tricky to find at night if you your cab does not speak any English. If you take the first left after El Borracho Burro (I believe there was a sign that said Punta Sure estates or something) on a dirt road, then take your 2nd right, house is down that road on the left. We will and would definitely rent again depending on our next group size!
