We had booked for a deluxe family suite, that had been modernised and had two separate rooms.
Unfortunately we arrived to find that our room was unavailable, due to a leak (awful Scottish weather) and they offered us either a deluxe family room (two doubles) or two adjoining rooms in the dated part of the hotel (the forest wing), which we opted for. 'When we arrived at the hotel it didn't look anything special from the outside. On entering into the small reception we received a very warm welcome and given some local information. We were directed to our room which was very spacious, clean and a nice outlook .
The bed was very comfortable although I found the room warm but my husband slept right through the night, which is unusual for him.
We opted to have dinner in the hotel and although a bit pricy we were very happy with what we ordered.

'After a communications issue I got the code and enjoyed our sunny happy space. Had a couple suggestions for owner who responded quickly. Frustrated with VRBO/Expedia for shirking responsibilities for fees and chose to blame owner. Poor customer service from the company but owner’s efficiency more than compensated for their failure.'
