'Perfect for a relaxing retreat with or without the yoga and a good place for the activities in the Oso/Corcovado area. Jen and Stuart’s hospitality is exceptional - everything you need, when you need it, with no fuss, and very well priced (eg $10 for a delicious lunch). Breakfast is delicious. Stuart’s cocktails are great. We loved it and would recommend it to anyone. The only thing i would have done differently is hiring bikes in town for greater flexibility. '

'Property is an actual retreat, so keep that in mind while booking. Car is almost a must, 4x4 highly recommended but not you can make it there with smaller cars (not that small). The place is very nice, property seems very new. I would definitely come again.'

'I stayed just one night at Cabinas upon arriving to the Osa peninsula and it was the perfect landing place to being my trip! The staff was so kind and helpful and it was great to be able to get out on the water and Kayak. The location is walking distance to town for cafes, grocery and restaurants. The price is affordable and the room was very clean and cosy! I would definitely stay again if I travel there! '

'We stayed 2 nights in Iguana Lodge, one before and one after our 3 day jungle trek through Corcovado NP. Perfect place to prepare and recover for a tough hike. Splendid contemporary rooms with ocean views, friendly staff and great food in the restaurant. Breakfast was a little basic. '

'We stayed at Cabanas Tropicales before and after our overnight stay in Corcovado. The owner and manager were both very kind and very helpful. We were able to leave our luggage here while we were trekking in the park.
The location is great. Close to the beach and good restaurants and only a short walk to town.
The room is basic with air con and a fan and they offer hot water in the shower if you want it. Simple kitchen to use if you need with free coffee and tea.

'Chosa el Manglar was the perfect spot for our brief visit to Puerto Jimenez. It is a short walk from the airport, has beautiful grounds, and is centrally located. The owners took great care of us, helping us out with some local logistics. '

'Beautiful rainforest property with good birding opportunity, birds song, cicadas, and frogs, but "touristy", so the natural vibe gets ruined. It seems they cater to tour groups, so not very private or queit. Have to pay for 3 meals a day but on their schedule that's too late for serious birding and not as healthy as I'd prefer. I travel solo and do not enjoy sitting by myself or wasting time I could be out finding birds sitting in a restaurant. I go ut birding before daybreak so, lunch as late...

Owner has a pack of dogs that bark all the time - they locked them in when I complained but were out barking again at 6am
It says it is inclusive of breakfast but they didn’t provide it and said it was a mistake
So really poor but the little restaurants nearby were great and I probably had the best meal so far, it’s also a great place for spotting...
