If you are a young woman traveling alone or with another young woman I do not recommend this property. You may be harassed by one of the valets who acted very unprofessional. We were asked for our room number which was not even needed for the valet’s use. Upon leaving for the event we were in town for, we heard catcalls under the valets breath. We checked out as soon as we arrived from the event (2.5 hours later) due to feeling unsafe. I was told I would not have to pay for the $30 overnight parking per vehicle and was still charged despite one car being parked for only 3 hours. The young lady at the front desk was friendly but short with us. We did not inform her of the situation or reasoning for our premature check out due to not wanting to cause a scene but this is a warning to other young women. I feel that the valet wouldn’t have acted this way toward us if we were another race, as no other guests seemed to get this treatment at check in. It was the last thing I needed after a long shift and a long drive for an event that we were looking forward to but the anxiety about the situation ruined our evening. The hotel was clean as well just a little bit dated which is understandable due to the historic building. I don’t want to bash this hotel but I do want to warn other young ladies of possible issues that may arise during their stay.

Staff was nice. Room was Spacious. We arrived later in the day and left early in the morning, so we didn’t get to experience much of the surrounding area, but from what little we did see, it seemed to be right in the heart of dowtown.

This is a very nice hotel on the edge of downtown in an area that is struggling economically. It's walking distance to the capital and several civil rights attractions, including an old Greyhound bus station, which is nice.

This is solidly in the ghetto. Valet park is required because it isn’t safe to walk the area. Lobby is nice, rooms are not to Hilton standards. Several things broken in the room (can’t open the shades, shower curtain is dirty, bathroom floor still has someone else’s hair on it, etc) We wouldn’t go back. If you are going to Jackson I’d recommend something outside of the downtown area.

I asked for a room for four and I paid for it and there was only one king bed, then when I asked to get another room they said they were overbooked when I know they weren’t because I tried booking directly with Hilton app and there were a lot of other rooms available. Then they offered to bring a roll in which wasn’t enough because that was only enough for 3 and I asked for a second roll in and they said it was a fire hazard. There was coffee but no coffee machine. And other things negatives. To say the truth the only thing that would make it better would be a full refund. Feel free to contact me or not

The valet parking guys are FANTASTIC..and the front desk personnel were awesome as well. Very friendly, welcoming, super place to check in to. Also the attached bar area has great service as well..they go above and beyond. The rooms are fine..its the staff here tho that make it great.

None of the pillows had pillow cases on them. We asked for them many times and said we would put them on just wanted them. Kept telling us they were washing some. Never got them. Had to call to get towels there were none in the room. Took 2 1/2 hours to get a burger and beer at the restaurant. Won’t stay at this Hilton again

The location was close to our event. Appears clean and the Valet is on point. Great service from them! Inside service was a different story… watching my friends check in compared to the service I received was polar opposites. They recorded information about the hotel and what is close by. While I received barely a word. No hygiene products in the room. Went down stairs to request them and they said they would bring them to my room… never received…

Horrible service
The hotel seems as if it’s on its last leg. No spirits at the bar. (Bartenders were really sweet) and we got locked out of our room SEVERAL times. When we would go out and come back in, our key would not be working. This happened 4 times!!! They kept re keying our room. Then to make matters worse, the last time it happened, I went to. The room and back 3 times. Each time I had to go back down and let her know it didn’t work! Finally, she said she would have to change our room. But ma’am, our stuff is stuck in the old room. Basically they had to get security after an hour to let us in the old room casing us to miss our anniversary dinner reservation. I was so disappointed. No one knew what to do. I was very upset and feel like we were highly inconvenienced to have to change rooms. I feel like I should be refunded! I will not stay here again.
