2BR Oceanfront in Captain's Court met prachtig uitzicht!

Onze mooie villa met 2 slaapkamers ligt in het Captain's Court-complex naast het plantagehotel Omni Amelia Island. Loop door de glazen schuifdeuren van de woonkamer naar een patio met uitzicht op de Atlantische Oceaan. Loop een paar stappen van de patio naar de promenade die langs het strand loopt. In de omgeving De Amelia Island Plantation biedt vele activiteiten, waaronder nabijgelegen golf-, tennis-, fiets- en wandelpaden, natuur- en Segway-tochten, een spa, winkels en restaurants - natuurlijk is dit alles als u zich weg kunt slepen van de prachtige witte zandstranden!

Onze villa is comfortabel, goed onderhouden en gezinsvriendelijk met een gemakkelijke wandeling op het ene niveau naar het strand en op het andere niveau naar een kleine tuin met gras omringd door bomen. De eenheid is geheel betegeld. De keuken is comfortabel ingericht met gemakkelijke toegang tot opslag en apparaat. Het is volledig gevuld met borden, kleine apparaten en kookgerei.

De woonkamer is open en luchtig met een fantastisch uitzicht op de oceaan. De bank is een tweepersoons slaper. De keuken is eind 2016 vernieuwd. Andere voorzieningen zijn een grote flatscreen-tv, dvd-speler en snelle draadloze internettoegang.

Het Captain's Court-complex is klein en intiem met slechts 32 eenheden, maar het ligt naast het Omni-hotel en zeer dicht bij alle voorzieningen van het resort. Het complex heeft ook een eigen zwembad en een tennisbaan. De unit is gelegen aan de bovenkant en zijkant van een zandduin en er zijn trappen vanaf de parkeerplaats naar de unit. De unit is split-level en bevat ook trappen. Het is niet geschikt voor gasten met mobiliteitsproblemen.

Let’s start with the positives. The condo is nice and the views and proximity to the beach is amazing! Now let’s talk about parking and the stairs. If you have mobility issues the flights of stairs from the parking area to the condo will be a significant issue. Not to mention during the busy season, parking will be a problem. So, if you can’t park in one of the 3 parking lots for the many condos, the stairs will become a bigger issue getting your belongings back to the condo. Beds are ok. There are stairs inside the condo as well.

Our unit had fantastic views of the ocean and wonderful proximity for hearing the surf! We enjoyed the unit, were very comfortable and our beagle, Gracie Mae, was right at home. There is a grassy area right out the front and back sliders. This is definitely the unit in Captain’s Court you want to stay in if you love the beach and ocean :)

Overall, enjoyed our stay. Great view. Easy access to beach.Only issues encountered were did not get check in information until almost when we arrived. And when we got to condo, cleaning crew was still on site cleaning the place. After that everything went well. Would stay there again.

We were very happy with our accommodations at Captain's Court. It was so wonderful to be able to walk directly to the beach and to have that beautiful view from the very comfortable patio. I wish there had been a chair or two on the pretty patio area off the bedrooms, a great place to lounge out of the wind. The door from the main bedroom to the back patio area is not operational and needs to be repaired. We did not find the steps to the unit a problem....they were well worth it for the view! We were there in late February and early March...not sure when the unit last had a deep clean but it could use it.

Stairway to Peace and Tranquility

Great property! We loved being able to walk to the Omni shops for food and shopping. We usually stay on the north end of the island, but the southern end has won us over all thanks to this location! Previous rentals we’ve stayed in have not had the best furniture; that is NOT the case here! Furniture was comfortable and well kept. Yes there are stairs, but they aren’t steep. Plush, well manicured grounds, and an amazing view of the beach! Oh and let me tell you about the sunrise, very picturesque!

Loved this place, except all the stairs. Lots of stairs going up but if you go to 3rd set, not as many. We didnt realize that the unit also has 3 floors, so basically you go up to go down... great location, beautiful condo, close to shope and restaurants on site. Falcons Nest was good. Beautiful beachfront condo

This is a very cute, well-appointed condo with stunning ocean views. The lower level patio lets out to a beautiful green space and connects to the beach path in seconds. We had a short stay, but there is much to explore around the Omni. You do need to go down a number of stairs from the parking, which was fine for my family but may be tricky for others.

Quiet, beachfront, great paths

We had a few small issues (washing machine wouldn't start, internet went out) and the property manager Jennifer was incredibly responsive. She came to the condo twice to help with the washer and found out about the internet outage quickly. Issues are bound to arise and we are grateful she handled to quickly and effectively.

Perfect!

The view from this condo is spectacular because you are looking at a beautiful green space with grass and palm trees then out to the beautiful ocean. Walk to beach was easy as could be! Beach was peaceful and fairly empty. Very windy due to storm that passed through. Condo nicely stocked. Only comment is there is no place to rinse feet and beach supplies when leaving beach. Beds and furniture all very comfortable.

This is the third time we have stayed in this unit. It has a perfect location, with an uncrowded beach. It is nicely set up, with a lovely view of the ocean, sunrises and sunsets. Convenient to Fernandina and great places to eat. We will be back!

Dreamy Beach Views

The views don't disappoint at this cozy condo. We loved seeing the beach and the ocean from the main living area and patio. That was definitely the highlight of our weeklong stay. We brought our small dog along and met many other dogs while we were there. We also met many tortoises and gekkos on our walks around the property. It's a nature lover's paradise! The condo was comfortable, but seemed cramped for four adults and a baby. The condo is set up on 3 levels. The entrance is on the top level, then the main level is down a set of steps, and the bedrooms and bathrooms are on the lowest level. Many previous guests have commented on the number of stairs you have to ascend to reach the condo. I would have to agree. With two separate families, and one with an infant, we had a LOT of things to carry up (and down) all those stairs and it was not fun. We experienced a couple of other issues during our stay. The Captain's Court pool was closed for 3 days of our stay, and without any advance notice. We contacted the management company to see if we could use another pool on the property, but they were not able to get us access. That was a disappointment, as access to the pool was one reason we booked this condo. In addition, an animal had been digging up the lawn adjoining our patio. It was a little difficult to navigate around the holes at night when we took our dog out for a walk. We loved visiting Amelia Island and Fernandina Beach, but the stay was not what we'd hoped for.

Enjoyed the unit. Everything was as advertised. Nice sturdy patio furniture. Sunrises spectacular. Very quiet with ready access to beachfront. Walked beach every morning 43 steps will tire you but once you get there all good. Also code for door hit home after putting in code to both open and close
