Historisch B. F. Dowell House

Kom en geniet van dit prachtige huis met 3 slaapkamers en 3. 5 badkamers. Elke slaapkamer heeft een eigen complete badkamer. Hierdoor is het mogelijk om alleen de trap of het hele huis te huren. Het huis is in uitstekende staat gehouden en is zorgvuldig ingericht met elk detail verzorgd. Er is een woonkamer met gashaard om te ontspannen, lezen of chatten met vrienden. In de woonkamer vind je het entertainmentcentrum voor tv kijken of films streamen. Erg comfortabel. Grote keuken heeft alles wat u nodig heeft voor het bereiden van maaltijden of gewoon een snack. Gasfornuis voor gelijkmatig koken, vaatwasser, kruiden en andere pantry-artikelen. Eettafel met stoelen voor zes personen. Wasruimte heeft extra benodigdheden en een handdoek, met een half bad dat een douche en toilet heeft. Verbazingwekkende wrap around dek om uit te kijken over het volwassen landschap en de lokale herten. Perfect begin van uw dag koffie op het dek en misschien wijn in de avond. Het huis ligt twee blokken van het centrum en recht tegenover de markt. Britt ligt op loopafstand, geen parkeerproblemen meer. Winkel in de plaatselijke boetieks, eet een maaltijd in een van onze lokale restaurants. Niet ver buiten de stad vindt u de vele wijnhuizen om te proeven. Deze lijst is eindeloos voor activiteiten. altijd terugkerend naar het gastvrije BF Dowell House. Tarief is gebaseerd op dubbele bezetting, kosten voor elke extra gast.

Charming, Historic Gem in the Perfect LocationWe had a wonderful stay in this beautiful historic home. It’s been lovingly maintained with period-accurate decor that gives it so much character, while still offering all the modern conveniences you could need. Everything was spotless, the beds were very comfortable, and the location couldn’t be better—a grocery store just across the street made things super convenient. The gardens are absolutely bucolic, with several cozy spots to sit and relax outside. A truly quaint and peaceful escape. Highly recommended!

Beautiful home, very clean and the location was perfect. It was close to downtown and across the street from a grocery store but it was very private and quiet. We had deer visit us in the back yard! I had a couple questions and the host got back to me very quickly. There were 6 adults and it was perfect in sleeping/eating/visiting spaces. Beautiful outdoor space as well. Strongly recommend

My friends and I really enjoyed our stay at this lovely property. The grounds are beautiful with daily deer visits. Rooms were spacious and well-appointed. Glad the host included the history of the property. For such a large house the AC was more than adequate for the high 80s/low 90s temps we had. Would definitely stay here again.

Great property with only one exception. The process to lock and unlock the door needs to be upgraded. The only way to access or egress the home is by touchpad. However, using the touchpad is extremely frustrating. That is, it often took numerous attempts to unlock or lock the door. If I were the owner, I would worry that unconscientious guests might become so frustrated that they would leave the house unlocked.

A slice of heaven...

This is our second stay at the B.F. Dowell House.... which really tells you everything! It is simply vacation perfection. The house and grounds are simply wonderful. The house is immaculate. The decorations are appropriate the historical era of the home, while also being and beautiful and comfortable. The location could not be better. Well within walking distance of everything Jacksonville has to offer. Relaxing mornings and evenings spent laughing in the garden were even further enhanced by deer and turkey family units meandering through. We have already booked our next stay and cannot wait. Deanne was wonderful to work with. You cannot go wrong with this home!

Rented this house for a girls get away. This gorgeous house is in the perfect location with all the amenities. The outside grounds are beautiful and it was such a treat to have deer visit us every morning and evening while relaxing in the backyard. The host was very responsive and helpful. Gorgeous, comfortable home.

We were in Jacksonville visiting family and were lucky enough to find this home. It is absolutely gorgeous and fully stocked with everything you need to feel at home. I would love to stay for a month and just read books, take naps, and cook nice meals. Will definitely return.

Beautiful Historical Home

The BF Dowell Home was charming with very unique architecture and beautiful landscaped gardens! There were daily sightings of deer to entertain us! Plenty of outside space and places to relax! Jacksonville was a beautiful small town and we could walk to most of the places we wanted to visit! Walking trails were close by as well as numerous wineries!

Family Getaway

We had a wonderful weekend in Jacksonville with family wine tasting throughout Jacksonville. The location of the property is ideal, walking distance to downtown, coffee, and Back Porch BBQ. The market across the street was super helpful for all the food and drink items...no pre-packing needed. Beautiful old victorian, very clean, and all the amenities were there. We will definitely return!

Quaint two night stay to visit family in the area. Home was period decorated with colorful wall coverings and fixtures. This home also had all the comforts of home, equipped kitchen, games and great porch. Would love to visit again in the summer. Walking to town for dinner and coffe was very easy. Drove and hiked nearby forest park. Great getaway.

We visited best friends and family. Attended our old church, Jacksonville Presbyterian. Went to the new Jacksonville Inn Restaurant and enjoy Pony Expresso and Food Bean. Amazing Historical Home

This house was probably the best short term rental I've ever stayed in. It was the best blend of old and new. There are three bedtime, each with it's own bathroom. The bath attached to the bedroom on the first door has only a tub and not a shower but there's also a separate little bath with a shower on the first floor. The host Aldi had a very nice outdoor eating area and porch. The location is very close to downtown, within easy waking distance. We had a fabulous time visiting the area.
