I came here with my GF for an anniversary trip away, and when we were settling down for the night, we found the sheets has sand in them. I went to call the front desk, and the room phone was dead. We had to call the outside number to get the hotel agent. The agent was apologetic and brought us up clean sheets, but then we noticed a thick layer of dust on the overhead fan blades. Also there was mold and soap scum in the corners of the shower - clearly they are failing in their housekeeping. The next day I spoke to the manager, Thomas, who gave us some excuse when we asked for a partial refund for the room, saying that because we booked through Expedia, a third-party, they couldn't give us any money back (really?). The most they would do was give us some gift cards for a local restaurant. It's a very disappointing result for what was supposed to be a special weekend. The only thing this hotel has going for it is the proximity to the beach, otherwise there are better places to stay that are cleaner and give good customer service.
