Hut in het Big South Fork / Pickett State Park Area

Verbeteringen voor het seizoen 2019 hebben plaatsgevonden .. Updates omvatten een buitengrill plus een ingangshelling die de moeilijk te zien in de donkere voortrappen vervangt. De voordeur is nieuw plus alle buitenverlichting is opgewaardeerd met gele insectenlichten. Een uitlaatventilator door de muur, een nieuwe wastafelkraan plus een tong- en groefplafond zijn updates voor de badkamer. De keuken / woonkamer heeft een tand- en groefplafond met een vier voet LED-licht boven de eetkamer. Nieuw van september '19 is een LED-lampje dat de fluorescentielamp vervangt. De nieuwe extra ruimte heeft een geluidssysteemontvanger met Bluetooth om uw muziek over de luidsprekers in het plafond te streamen. Dit systeem bevat XM Radio. Om te reageren op opmerkingen tegen het oude logbedframe, is een nieuw solide platformbed toegevoegd dat meer ruimte biedt. Een WiFi-booster is in het overdekte achterdek geplaatst om het bereik en de kwaliteit te vergroten. De tv is nu een ROKU-tv met een soundbar. Nu gaat de beschrijving samen met de eerdere details van Hikers Hideaway.

Hikers Hideaway is een 760 vierkante voet cabine met voor en achter overdekte dekken (hangmat haken!) op 5 hectare in Spruce Creek Acres. Het pand heeft een 8 voet seizoensgebonden waterval en natuurlijke bronnen met paden om van te genieten. Deze hut ligt langs Highway 297 tussen het hoofdkwartier van Bandy Creek Park voor Big South Fork en het bezoekerscentrum Pickett State Park op Highway 154, en biedt de mogelijkheid om toegang te krijgen tot wandelpaden in beide parken. Bovendien ligt het Pickett-Pogue International Dark Sky Park in de buurt, waardoor deze schuilplaats handig is voor astronomen. Het spijt me te moeten zeggen dat de cabine geen enkele paardenvoorziening biedt. Bovendien is de cabine niet huisdiervriendelijk en is deze uiteraard rookvrij.
Wandelaars, natuuronderzoekers, astronomen, fotografen en iedereen die van attracties en evenementen in de regio Big South Fork wil genieten, vinden de hut "Hikers Hideaway" en de ideale locatie. Eenmaal geboekt, kan de eigenaar wandeladvies geven aan enkele van de buiten de gebaande paden bogen, watervallen en landvormen die dit unieke gebied biedt.
Nieuw voor 2018 zijn patiodeurengordijnen, honingraatjaloezieën op de nieuwe Franse deuren plus het badkamerraam. Voor de zomer van 19 is de TV geüpgraded naar een 40 inch ROKU TV (breng je netflix-account mee). Een soundbar is nu in het systeem opgenomen.

Perfect Stay in BSF!

This cabin was in a great location to our hiking to twin arches and Pickett state park. Our host, Keith has thought of everything to make you comfortable during your stay. Many things provided in the cabin that I would not have expected. The kitchen was very well stocked with all the cookware needed. Even coffee was provided! Maps and books galore to help us choose the right hiking trails for our tastes. It was very peaceful out on the porches and the bed was very comfy. I highly recommend this rental!

My wife and I loved our stay at the cabin! It's in a perfect location relative to Big South Fork (only 15 min away from Bandy Creek area) and Pickett State Park. Cabin is well-maintained and very CLEAN. The large covered porch area in the back is a perfect spot to relax, recover from a long day of hiking, and enjoy a beverage. Couldn't be better!

Everything you need for a perfect stay! We stayed 3 nights and I wanted to stay more. You can be certain I will stay here again if we return to this area. After a day of hiking, I loved sitting on the deck enjoying a cup of coffee and watching the sunset.

I would definitely book this property agsin. It was extremely clean and well furnished. We really appreciated the ground coffee and coffee maker so we could fix coffee without having to go to a store or bring supplies with us!! Linens were excellent quality!! Everything wewe needed was supplied!!

Well-equipped cabin in a beautiful forest

The cabin was very well-equipped with everything you need for cooking and for relaxing comfortably. The area is beautiful with a large back deck looking out into lush green forest and sounds of singing birds and a splashing creek. Keith thought of everything to make the cabin seem like home.

Genealogy research

I went to the area to do research on And a friend recommended this cabin. It was one of the best mini vacations I have every had. It was peaceful and relaxing at the cabin all of the needs were met.. It is close enough to others but the way it is situated you have privacy. The cabin was beautifully well kept Just a very peaceful atmosphere all around Thank you so much for the opportunity to have this experience .

Great basecamp for hiking

The property is perfectly located for hiking in Big South Fork and other nearby parks. The host provided specific hiking suggestions in response to our expressed interest, including books and maps, and the cabin was filled with resources for hiking and for learning the history of the area. The cabin is well and comfortably furnished and equipped. We enjoyed our stay and will be happy to stay here again.

Great location

This cabin was so great! Very well stocked kitchen and close to lots of trails! The hammock is amazing! The view on the back deck is so peaceful. We were fortunate enough to be there when the stars were showing their best show! We saw meteors, the Milky Way and some of the best star “views” I’ve ever seen. It’s close to the astronomy field, which was super convenient. The owner was a great communicator. Lots of trail maps and books available at the cabin. I loved the newspaper articles on the fridge about the area. This is probably one of the cleanest rentals I’ve ever stayed in! The only thing I would say, is we had a little trouble knowing if the front door was locked while we were in the house- the knob would just turn and sometimes made a very small sound that we assumed meant it locked. We had a great time and would highly recommend staying here! The “U” shaped driveway was super convenient too! Thank for the awesome getaway!
