Wake Up to Nature’s Magic at Golden Kettle Cottage

Waking up at Golden Kettle Cottage is a peaceful, soul-soothing experience. After a restful night in one of our cozy beds, you’ll head to the kitchen for that essential first cup of coffee. A full-size 12-cup duo coffee maker stands ready—perfect whether you want a full pot or just a single serving. We provide a variety of coffee and tea to start your day right.

Wrap one of our luxurious throws around your shoulders, cradle your warm mug, and step onto the spacious deck. The morning air is crisp and fragrant with the scent of the woods. Sunlight glimmers across the lake, and if you’re lucky, you’ll catch a glimpse of white pelicans floating by. (Note: Spring and summer bring beautiful greenery, though some lake views are partially obscured compared to fall and winter.)

Surrounded by nearly two acres of forest, it’s common to spot deer, vibrant blue jays, cardinals, or our resident chipmunk, Theodore. Evenings are just as magical—spend them around the firepit or chiminea, roasting marshmallows and sharing stories under the stars.

Water Adventures Await

Bringing a boat? There’s ample space in our circle driveway, and a natural boat ramp is just half a mile away. Please note: the water at nearby ramps can be shallow and lacks a dock. For deeper access, public ramps near Grove/Honey Creek (15 minutes away) are a better bet.

You’ll also find a peaceful “beach” area at the point, ideal for swimming and kayaking. Two kayaks are provided—just bring your own life jackets and transport them the short half-mile down the road to the water. Cooler weather? Don’t miss the stunning sunsets at the point, even if you're not getting wet!

Comfort Meets Functionality

The cottage sleeps up to six guests comfortably and features an open-plan living space with plenty of seating and lake views. Curl up in front of the electric fireplace and watch your favorite shows on the 55” smart TV.

Master Bedroom: Plush queen bed, queen sleeper sofa, Pack-N-Play, and a second smart TV

Meadow Room: Queen daybed with queen trundle + a cozy hanging egg chair, perfect for reading

Need to check in at work? A dedicated workspace includes a desk, lake view, printer, and keyboard. High-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the home.

Pet-Friendly & Peaceful

We welcome up to two dogs (please disclose when booking; $75 pet fee per dog applies). Pets must be crated when left unattended and kept under close supervision due to the rural surroundings. Owners are responsible for pet safety during the stay.

No smoking or parties allowed
Quiet hours must be respected—this is a serene neighborhood
Water access is public at the end of the road. (The property and docks across the street are private and non-accessable)
Check-in: 4:00 p.m. | Check-out: 11:00 a.m.
Please wash dishes and take out trash before leaving
