We were initially checked into an "upgraded" room. It was very nice, but there was a high pitched whine in the room. When I went to the desk, the clerk knew about the noise, and said when guests complain about it they "usually move them to a new room." So obviously, this is an ongoing problem, so maybe not an "upgraded" room. The room should be put out of order until the problem is fixed, not continued to be used. We were then put in a room with a lofted bed. My husband was too tall to do the spiral stairs without hitting his head on the beam at the top, so he slept on the couch below. For the price we paid, I wasn't impressed.
The restaurant food and service was very good, and the lobby with the roaring fireplace was nice. The location and the hiking trails were nice.
I worked in hotels for 12 years and was not impressed with how they handled the room situation.
