Good afternoon, the hotel did send you notice of the declined credit card and also you were notified via expedia. Looking as I type expedia states " On 4/30/2024, we notified the guest to provide a valid payment method within 24 hours to keep the booking."The hotel will not hold a room with a declined credit card, and expedia even reached out to try to get it rectified. Unfortunately the credit card was not valid and the reservation was cancelled.

The staff was amazing and the property was perfect for our family of five adults. The only negative is the journey to get to the city. We had a member of our group that could not walk easily so we had to take an Uber every day to the Path station to get to the city. The area also just didn’t seem safe to walk around- more industrial. Next time we will stay closer to the Path station in Newport.

Es gibt zu wenig Sitzplätze im Essensbereich. Die Leute standen und lauerten förmlich auf einen Platz. Später wurde die Sitzzeit auf 25 min beschränkt. Letztendlich ist dieser Bereich zu klein, zumindest in der Ferienzeit. Parken kostet zusätzlich 30$ am Tag. Ansonsten war soweit alles in Ordnung. Gute Anbindung nach Manhattan über die PATH (Newport) ca 10 Minuten Fußweg.

Our breakfast is a very popular amenity, and yes it is unfortunate how crowded it gets where seating is limited, but the seating was approved with local government and they do not approve any additional seating.

Internet and dryers broken says there alternate ways to dry on door but front desk there isn’t but house keep needs to do there washing and drying so there’s clearly drys somewhere and then made it seem like we don’t know how to use internet but there were multiple people complaining

Thank you for your feedback, while the dryer is broken we are allowing our guests clothes to be dried in our hotel dryers, just sign the waiver. I am sorry you had issues with the internet, We were informed by the internet provider that the system was down.

As far as the parking goes, on Expedia website on our hotel page, under popular amenities, under parking and transportation it states 'Valet parking on site (USD 30 per night; includes in/out privileges)Limited onsite parking'On our own website it also states limited parking at 30 a day, may I ask what website you are a stating that doesn't show the parking information, I would like to know so I can reach out to them about it.

Thank you for your review, I am sorry that you felt unsafe with getting to the path station. For future reference the best times to avoid heavy traffic would be between 7am-9am and 4pm-6pm. Also the closest Path train is a 15 minute walk at the Pavonia Newport station, if you take the Grove street station that is about half a 45 minute walk away.

Thank you for your response, I am sorry you had a delay in getting your room, you did book a specialty room of two double beds with a city view. We do have IHG one club members, and one of the perks for being a club member is a late check, this is one of the reasons for a delay with the room. The washing machine is in working order, it is the dryer that needs to be replaced.

Upon arrival it wasn’t a warm welcome I had asked a question and she pointed at the sign a simple explination would have sufficed this made me feel like my question was bothersome. I stayed in this property during pandemic time a few times booked direct with the hotel and it was amazing but service has decreased since then. I tried to make interaction smiling but agent was a bit cold and didn’t seem to want to interact with me. The room was nice however there was a lot of hair on the bed under the covers. I wanted to call down but I had already unpacked and made my self comfortable so I grabbed a towel and just removed all the hair This made me feel a bit disgusted. If I were to stay again I will check more throughly. There was also dirty foot prints in the bathroom and hair as well. This hotels location is perfect for me but this stay did have a couple things that I didn’t like.

The staff was friendly and wanted to make sure things were going well. The outer doors are locked, but you can get in from the garage. The area around has loud traffic at all times. The Chinese restaurant had good food.

New bed in this Holiday Inn Express gave the room a comfortable feel, literally. Service was marvelous. Desk attendants truly wonderful. Hotel is located conveniently in Jersey so one can get around via Lyft or car easily. Price was right. The only issue we had was the cleanliness of a lounge chair which was necessary to use for sitting in a room with only one other desk chair: It’s a washable surface but we found several unmentionable stains on what is a lovely lounge chair. Kinda gross. Don’t know why it was overlooked by cleaning staff.
