Leuk guesthouse op de verkeerde plek.
Guesthouse met een heel mooie tuin aan het eind van de startbaan van het Tambo vliegveld. Dus veel geluidsoverlast. Gastvrouw is zeer attent.

I wasted 1hour 20 minutes at the airport upon arrival from Nairobi because guesthouse didn’t send driver to pick me up. We had full agreement to meet me with name picket. With the help of airport information desk, guesthouse was called and sent driver. It took another hour. Check in employee asked 150 R for the pick up which is 50 R higher than showed in their policy. Very poor business. No soul !

1. STEPHANO- THE MANAGER, IS PROFESSIONAL, HAS CUSTOMER ETIQUETTE, HELPED A LOT WITH TRANSPORTATION TO CONFERENCE VENUE. 2. ROOM - UNCOMFORTABLE,COLD, AT SOME POINT I DISCOVERED A TINY BUT DANGEROUS LIZARD LIKE THING ON THE PILLOW, SPENT SLEEPLESS NIGHT. 3. SECOND & FORTUNATELY, LAST DAY, A NIGHTMARE, NO WATER , HAD TO CALL THEM, ONLY THEN , THEY TELL ME THEY WERE TOLD, BUT THEY DID NOT MAKE ME AWARE. I TOOK A BATH FROM THE BASIN, SOMETHING I'VE NEVER EXPERIENCED BEFORE, WORSE IN A GUEST HOUSE. THAT FOR ME, IS A ONE STAR FOR THE PLACE.

The host was okay. I mean Audrey BUT the hotel owner is a stupid man who is full of himself. I got in one night at about 9 20 pm and knocked the gate because it was drizzling. Audrey hurriedly opened the gate for me only to be followed by the man who I guess possessed firearm going by his gesture as he pointed his fingers at me saying' Never ever kick my gate again , I own this premise. Else I deal with u' as if I didn't pay a rent to him. I quickly pleased with him severally and made way for my room. The only God thing is Audrey and the meal. But this hostility by the owner is the worst I have ever seen Haven travelled to over 11 countries. Again they don't allow visitor into the room . I mean visitor male or female. Not one who is intending to sleep over. Just a visitor. Yet it is not on their web page or on hotel. com page. All in all I CAN NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN!!! That property owner should be warned or his property blacklisted from hotels.com

Great location near airport
The hosts are the best part of a stay here. They were very helpful in a variety of situations, and generous with information about the area.

Very nice, clean and friendly stay!
Our family arrived a bit late, but we still received a warm welcome. They were so nice to set up an extra bed for the kids. Everything was great.

Feel part of the family
Just an overnighter to use the airport in and out, but we received great friendly service from Suzanne. We were in the annex away from the main building, a little cramped with only a bead curtain between the bed and the toilet / shower but it was clean with fridge, tea and coffee and a tv (free to air channels only). Planes overhead are noisy but a curfew applies so not too bad. No this is not the Ritz, but the welcome you receive, the service and family atmosphere make up for that.

A caring peaceful place close to the airport
Jeg var glad for mit ophold her. Tæt på lufthavnen og alligevel fredfyldt. Skøn have med en svømmepool som jeg nød aften og morgen.. fugle sang og grønne træer.. Morgenmaden var dejlig Værten Suzanne er bare så fantastisk. Åben og venlig... Hun kørte mig til / og hentede mig fra den lokale restaurant. Suzanne hjalp med alt hvad jeg havde brug for blandt andet en sightseeing i Johannesburg. Jeg nød også at snakke med Suzanne og hendes familie

Guter Platz - hervorragende Gastgeberin!
Überraschenderweise erhielt ich am Tag vor der Ankunft von Suzanne die Sms-Anfrage, ob ich Flughafentransfer wünsche. So erfuhr ich viel Interessantes auf den beiden Fahrten vom und zum Flughafen. Das Airport Modjadji liegt direkt unter der Flugbahn und ist entsprechend laut. Es ist sehr familiär und ruhig, in einem sicheren Quartier, in welchem man spazieren kann. Frühstück vielfältig! Für mich der perfekte Übernachtungsort zwischen zwei Flügen.

It's a decent enough place with good service and convenient location. There was however no fan or air-conditioner, no en-suite bathroom and the TV was terrible. But the breakfast was ample and excellent so I'd use this place again if needed.

Great Guesthouse while transiting through J'Burg
Had a wonderful three-night stay at the Modjadji Guesthouse. The new owners - Suzanne and Terrence - really work hard to make the guests feel welcome and comfortable. I arrived late evening in J'Burg - and was met at the airport by Suzanne - as per my request. Its a great feeling not to have to go around looking for a taxi at a late hour at an airport I did not know well. The backyard/garden by the pool is a wonderful relaxing place to catnap, read and take some sun.

Perfect and secure Location, great atmosphere
The Guesthouse is located near the Airport in a safe and secure area. It offers a safe parking place inside and there are some shopping malls nearby. I was very warm welcomed and the owners are very, very nice and helpful. I felt like visiting family! Great breakfast. I just had a perfect stay and a really good time! Thank you for the hospitality, service and the clean and comfortable room, I will definitely be back next time in South Africa.

Beautiful home with lovely atmosphere
We stayed with Dion and his wife for four nights and had a wonderful time. When you come inside their house, you'll immediately feel at home. The hosts are very open-minded and friendly, and they won't hesitate to invite you to their biltong-barbecue. All the food you'll eat is home-made. The room was very clean and comfortable, with wide beds. The bathroom had tiles and a bathtub, and it comes with home made shower gel/shampoo. Their home is a 10-minute walk away from a small shopping centre. The airport and Gautrain, a very convenient way of travelling into and around Johannesburg, is a 10-minute drive away. Dion will make sure you get there safely. He will also take you on a tour, if you wish so, to explore the attractions of the city, and help you arrange your day, with enthusiastic advice about the city he knows well. There is also a beautiful garden with a swimming pool, where you can relax and enjoy the atmosphere. We will definetely recommend to stay ad Modjadji, and I look forward to next time.

Great guest house near airport.
This guest house is perfect for stopover as so close to airport and in reasonably safe area of Jo'burg.The owners, Deon and Merida are great hosts. Arrived late Friday afternoon & they were waiting for us.Welcomed with cups of freshly made coffee.Helped us find local stores & personally secured us a table at Jose's restaurant (really busy on Friday evenings). We had a triple room with private bathroom. Open house so we watched their TV in the lounge area.Occasional noise from aeroplanes in early evening.Car parking is on secure front drive.Lovely garden and pool area.Cooked breakfast was good.

Ideal place to stay if you like living in a shoe box with little ventilation and aircraft flying 100metres over your head. We also drove from the airport, big mistake as the road is not marked up from the main road but starts from 1 road over. We should have come back here later in the holiday for 2 nights but cancelled. It might be cheap but it is not worth it.

Very convenient for transit through Jo'Burg
Dion took great care of us at a very reasonable price. These guys will pick you up and drop you off not just to the airport but pretty much anywhere including to and from dinner.

We really loved this place.Close to the airport but there's no airplanes after 22.15 so nights are quiet.The owners are simply super and do everything they can for you - and then some.We had such fun with them!

Absolut top ist die Freundlichkeit und Integration in die Famile des Eigners, die sich sehr um die Belange des Gastes kuemmern. Nachteil: Die Pension liegt in der Einflugschneise des Flughafens. Je nach Anflugrichtung damit sehr lauter Fluglaerm.

The Airport Modjadji was the nicest place I stayed during my trip to South Africa. The price was very reasonable. The staff was very kind, courteous, and accomodated any of our needs. I did not have a car so the night we arrived they drove us to a local restaurant. The pool was very nice and relaxing, the breakfast was delicious, and I had no complaints of our stay. They were even nice enough to let us stay a few extra hours to no extra charge the next day when my flight wasnt supposed to leave until late, and even drove us to airport when we were ready. If I come to Johannesburg again I will certainly stay there again and would recommend it to friends

The hotel owners were present to greet us upon arrival. They were very accomodating and even gave us a ride to the local shopping center. Overall, a nice welcome to South Africa.

Clean & safe Guesthouse near the airport with excellent service
The Airport Modjadji Guesthouse is really an excellent choice for everyone who wants to stay in a clean and friendly place in Johannesburg without paying a fortune. Due to its location in a safe neighborhood near the airport it is perfect for everyone who is on transit. The rooms are big and very clean, some have a private bathroom, some only shared bathroom. The hosts are extremely courteous, flexible and helpful - with everything: from a free airport pickup service, recommendations for restaurants, flexible breakfast times etc.. It kind of feels like visiting friends or family to stay there!

Very convenient location about 10 min from airport. Nice safe location with very welcoming and helpful family. Supermarket and convenient restaurants within (5) min by car. Nice breakfast . Real find!
