Nice home, great location
The house is very conveniently located close to Gore mountain- you can see it from the driveway. Quiet place in the woods with a hiking trail and little slides at the back - good for sledding. Sleds were in the house too - very nice. We had great time sledding and playing in the snow by the house and skiing at Gore. House has wood stove - very nice. Nice, cozy rooms, good beds in rooms, but the futons are not comfortable for sleeping- so really it comfortably sleeps 8, not 10. Rooms need more lights and mirrors, dressers are broken. Washing machine could use an upgrade. Bathrooms and kitchen need to be cleaned properly- there are cobwebs. Driveway is long and steep uphill, lots of rocks, so 2-wheel drive won’t make it up in winter if there’s slush or dirt - we had to push our car all the way up. 4-wheel drive has no problem.

Lovely Adirondack cabin the was well stocked and very cozy. Just a short drive to Gore and several restaurants. We had 6 people in 4 bedrooms but there were futons available to easily sleep 10. Great place.

Memorial Day weekend stay
We have been coming here for about five years and love it every year. Location is perfect. Short drive to Lake George, Beck's Tavern and Yurts. Very private. Could use some updating for sure. Especially the side door (no screen) and the front sliding door (broken screen). Plenty of room, and we just have a blast.

Had a wonderful stay with family to go skiing at Gore Mountain. Coming back to this cottage was just what was needed at the end of a long day of skiing. Plenty of room and charming cottage. We are looking forward to future trips.

What a great house in the woods!
Plenty of room for the adults and the teens to hang out. Teens had a great time with their own space downstairs. Huge table for us all to eat and play games at. Beautiful secluded setting but only 10 min to Gore and town. Loved the wood stove after a day of skiing and hiking. The furnishings are Adirondack, curl up and have a hot toddy cozy. We will definitly stay there again!

Once again we had a great time at the property. Located 10 minutes from Gore mountain skiing. There are also plenty of hiking & cross country ski trails nearby. The house had everything we needed and I enjoyed the privacy of the acreage surrounding the house. We will return next year.

Great base for skiing at Gore. Cozy and comfortable, convenient layout. Plenty of sleeping quarters and privacy but also great open main room for gathering and having fun. Nice property for exploring the woods. Beautiful natural light in the main room. Would definitely go back.

This cabin/home is very conveniently located for skiing at Gore and exploring this part of the Adirondacks! We also appreciated the extras for the downtime, like the pool table and selection of movies and games. Thanks for a great stay!

Great location to Gore with plenty of space. However, it lists a pool table as one of the amenities. Recent reviews (last few months) mention the lack of usable pool cues (all broken/breaking). One major reason we picked this property over others was the pool table. I had reached out to the owners to ask about the pool cues twice. The first time, they said they'd check on it (but did nothing). The second time, they said they couldn't do anything until March. So we purchased a pool cue, took it with us, and left it (eating the cost). Seems like something they could have easily taken care of (they had weeks/months to get ONE working pool cue there before we arrived) by ordering one from Amazon or something.

Great for family with pets
This was a nice, clean, quiet pet friendly place with lots of privacy set back on a dirt road. Stayed here with friends and their kids and our dogs and had plenty of space. The bedroom in the basement was a bit musty, so we ended up using the 4 bedrooms on the first and second floor. We had a nice fire out back and our host had wood for us, which was great cause alot of places were sold out. The property is beautiful and the open windows were so lovely.

Wonderful property. Really felt at home with all the essentials. Only critical points is that is was hard to find entrance at night, no lights and the beds were uncomfortable. Also the billiard cue sticks were all broken except for one. Other than that, we had a lovely stay

Place was big and spacious nestled in the woods. Large firepit area. Bugs were kept at bay, but some spiders were frequently coming up sink. Place was relatively clean except for dining room table. Extremely sticky and couldn’t play games or eat on it. Overall, a very good place and worth the price for a large group.

Lovely chalet in the mountains
My husband, 2yo dog, and I enjoyed our short stay at this chalet. The house had plenty of room and would certainly fit a large family for fun times. We did not use the tv in the basement as it smelled very damp and musty, but we didn't miss watching tv for a couple of days! There were plenty of games and cards as well as the books we had brought to keep us entertained. Would definitely stay here again.

Lovely Private Pocket in the Adirondacks
Absolutely perfect spot for us and it will be for you too if what you seek is quiet, privacy and space in the heart of the Adirondacks. In a woodsy backdrop embraced by private land, there were only three of us and without using the upstairs at all it proved incredibly spacious. A larger party would have no trouble spreading out and not feeling on top of each other, yet there are plenty of welcoming spaces to commune. Conveniently located to get where you are going, and within the home there is plenty to entertain yourself on inside days with a multi room finished basement hosting a pool table, tv for streaming, game systems, fun collection of books and movies, plenty of board games. Huge table in the kitchen, great for eating, game playing or fun discourse. This is a very flexible place that would suit many, but if what you most like to do on vacation is hang out, relax and commune....you truly can do no better than this! The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans and serving bowls. Grill on the deck also. Eat at the big table in the kitchen or outside in the enclosed porch, which is set up for dining as well. Same applies to the basement, with three different rooms, entertainment and seating options in each, dead easy to spread out and have multiple things going on. Or be outside. Just as many choices. Woodsy backdrop, deck, screened porch justice (very cozy and charming), plus a fire pit. The house is rustic, but tidy and clean. The dogs loved it, there was plenty of space to set up crates for when we could not supervise them, and for a place that allows pets, it was in very clean shape. The 12 year old girl with us enjoyed it every bit as much! Some things good for you to know to enjoy your stay. The internet was free flowing but cell usage and texts required wandering around the yard oftentimes to find a spot. A short stroll to the top of the road will get the reception you need. We did end up shifting most convos to email. The local markets are great for all the basics, but mid size and not deeply stocked, so if there is anything really important to you that might be in some way typy....bring it. We were there during a heat wave and the house definitely gets hot during the day, but cooled down nicely at night with the windows popped open and the fans provided running (the basement was blissfully cool throughout). Plenty of towels, but bring your toiletries. We are very much looking forward to a return visit!

Convinient to Gore and large groups.
The perfect rental for a ski vacation, less than 15 minutes to the parking lot at Gore. 4 bedrooms for privacy with 2 adequate bathrooms. Plenty more space in the finished basement to sleep others. Kitchen is large and easy to work in and a big dining room table. Great deck with chairs and fire pit. Worth note, this is the Adirondacks and although always clean, the house is rustic. Your renting a great place close to the hill.

Great stay - Pet friendly and close to Gore Mountain
The cabin had everything we needed for a long holiday weekend at Gore Mountain for the 4 of us (2 adults, 2 kids). When we weren't at the mountain (10 min drive), we spent most of our time gathered around the very large dining table playing games (there's tons to choose from) or in the 2 chairs + futon in the small attached living area with the wood stove. There's ample firewood in the shed a short walk away outside. As there's no TV on the main level, and it was wildcard weekend in the NFL, we brought the 32" tv up from downstairs up into the living room so we could sit by the fire and watch (hope that was ok - we put it back when done). There's no cable, but we knew that coming in so we brought an amazon fire stick (any streaming device or laptop would do). The WIFI worked great for streaming, no buffering at all. For the kitchen - there's no condiments in the fridge so bring everything you need. There's no wine glasses either (that we could find), but luckily we brought our travel plastic ones. There are ample coffee mugs though, with both a Keurig single serve and regular coffee pot. Plenty of plates/silverware as well. We didn't spend much time in the basement as it was a bit musty as it seemed to have had a recent leak (the carpet in one room was wet). We played a few games of pool in the main basement room, that's about it. If you have a bigger crowd there's 2 other rooms with couches to play Wii or watch TV on a larger screen, but we were fine hanging upstairs by the fire. Overall this place was perfect for what we needed, a low key pet friendly house where we can hang as a family (the big table was key) - and couldn't be in a better location if Gore Mtn is your destination. We would definitely come back.

Family Getaway
Took my family for an Adirondack retreat and none of us were disappointed! Plenty of space for the everyone and our dog and the location was a perfect spot to travel from Lake George to Lake Placid (and a few more in between)! With so much to do we all can't wait for next years trip.

Favorite Escape
I've stayed at a few different rentals in the area, and This is by far the best place if you want privacy, nature, and comfort. It is a pet-friendly, child-friendly home and property with nighttime campfires and morning coffee looking out the beautiful large glass doors and windows to the woods around the house or relaxing on the deck grilling on the bbq or at the large dining table with plenty of room for all. I'm looking forward to our next visit already.

Great for a ski trip!
We spent a few days mid-week. My family skied and I worked from the house. It was perfect! Note that you will need to bring your own shower supplies (shampoo, conditioner, soap) though towels are provided. There are a ton of books in the house (including several Bibles if that's your thing), movies (though none for young kids) and board games to keep you occupied.

Super close (10 minutes) to Gore and North Creek. The price is great for what you get. Lots of space to spread out if you did have kids. Open layout was perfect for having everyone together while cooking.
