The Space:

Starlight Sanctuary invites you to step into a realm where the earthly and the otherworldly converge. The sweeping desert landscape stretches out before you, while above, the cosmos put on a nightly show that feels almost within reach. Here, the Milky Way spills across the sky, inviting you to lose yourself in its expanse. This is a place where time slows, where the quiet whispers of the desert connect you with something beyond. Starlight Sanctuary isn’t just a retreat—it’s a place to reconnect with the universe in all its wonder.



-Living Area-

Step inside to discover a cozy living space thoughtfully designed for relaxation. The living room features a smart TV for movie nights, while the record player sound system allows you to set the mood with your favorite tunes. The dining nook is a perfect spot to enjoy a meal, work from home or plan your day's adventures. The entire living area has windows throughout, bringing in natural light and offer sweeping views of the surrounding desert.



-Kitchen & Dining-

The fully stocked kitchen is equipped with everything you need to prepare delicious meals during your stay. Modern appliances, ample counter space, and a thoughtful layout make cooking a breeze. Nespresso coffee pods, spices, olive oil and much more are provided for your convenience. Enjoy a meal indoors in the dining nook or just outside, the outdoor dining area under a pergola, adorned with twinkle lights, offers a magical setting for al fresco meals. Whether you're grilling up a feast on the BBQ or enjoying a quiet dinner under the stars, every meal feels special here.

The bedroom is a serene haven, featuring a luxurious king bed with plush bedding that promises restful sleep. The ensuite bathroom is equally indulgent, with dual rain showerheads and a large soaking bathtub where you can unwind after a day of exploring, providing a spa-like experience in the privacy of your own retreat.



-Outdoor Amenities-

Starlight Sanctuary’s outdoor space is truly a desert oasis. The property is thoughtfully sectioned into areas connected by stepping stones. Relax in the hot tub or take a refreshing dip in the 8' cowboy tub soaking pool. The dual hanging chairs under a wooden arch offer a peaceful spot to take in the views. As the sun sets, gather around the gas firepit for a cozy evening under the stars.



But the crown jewel of Starlight Sanctuary is the stargazing area, set a little farther off for ultimate privacy. A vintage Ford Ranchero has been transformed into a unique outdoor daybed, perfect for lying back and gazing up at the endless starry skies. Nearby, two hammocks offer additional spots to relax and sway with the gentle breeze while taking in the beauty of the desert night.

While Starlight Sanctuary is your private retreat, the wonders of Joshua Tree are just a short drive away. Explore the national park - 800,000 acres of mystical beauty: Joshua Tree National Park is one of the world’s most incredible natural desert treasures. Sweeping, grand, and populated by granite monoliths and voluptuous rock and boulder formations, this quiet land, conducive to meditation and roaming, was carved by extremes in climate - wind, rain and an ever-present, relentless sun. Diverse forms of plant life are found everywhere, but none as unique or prevalent as the park’s namesake: the Joshua tree, standing majestically across the vast topography.



Joshua Tree is also known for its quirky art installations and unique restaurants - visit local art installations or discover the charm of nearby shops and eateries. But with the peace, quiet, and natural beauty surrounding you, you may find it hard to leave this sanctuary.

Guest Access:

The entire property is yours to enjoy! Please note that there is a garage being used for storage for supplies for the rental that is locked to guests.



The Neighborhood:

Starlight Sanctuary is situated in North Joshua Tree, just 14 minutes from the shops and restaurants of downtown Joshua Tree. All homes in this area are on acreage, giving guests wide open space and privacy.

Damage Waiver Policy

Getting Around:

A personal vehicle is necessary to get around in this area - rideshare apps are not guaranteed.



Starlight Sanctuary is in a remote location, and the last 0.5 mile is a dirt road, so please take it slow. The dirt road is maintained, and a four-wheel drive car is not necessary, but please note that the dirt road may have ruts, particularly after rainstorms.



Other Things to Note:

-Pool and Hot Tub Service-

The cowboy pool and hot tub are serviced Monday and Thursday, approximately between 11am and 4pm. Please note that these times are estimates and may change slightly due to our technician's busy schedule. He will not approach the house but will go directly through to the backyard.



Cowboy Tub Availability:

The cowboy tub is drained and unavailable for guest use during winter months (November - March) to prevent the filter from freezing and breaking.



-Dogs-

We welcome your dogs! There is a $100 per dog per stay fee, limit of 2 dogs maximum. Please note on your reservation if you are bringing dog(s) and how many, and we will adjust the price accordingly. There is an unauthorized pet fee of $500. Please use the provided dog sheets before allowing your dogs on any furniture. Cats and other pets are not allowed.

-Security Camera-

There is a security camera mounted on the front corner of the house in order to monitor the quantity of people and cars on the property, so we may ensure compliance with local ordinances. There are no security cameras in any private areas of the home or outdoor space.



-Cleaning Fee-

100% of the cleaning fee goes directly to our hardworking cleaners.
