'The building is very old (the oldest hotel in Alaska) but it was a great stay. I never had any issues. I couldn't open my window because I was on the 2nd floor and the building looked to be built into the mountain so there was a lot of foliage right outside my window, but they provided a box fan. There was a Daddy Longlegs spider on the ceiling but I left him alone and he left me alone. I would stay here again.'

'We were in a unit with full kitchen, separate bedroom, washer and dryer. It was quiet and had a good bed. I am alergic to dustmites and expect to suffer in beds used for commmercial purpose. This was the first hotel i can remember that did not trigger my allergies. The staff was personable and provided suggestions about ammenities in the neighborhood.'

'This place was very close to whale watching and the views were awesome to wake up to. It is a 15 to 20 minute drive from downtown which was a major plus being able to get away from the cruise ship visitors and commotion.I really enjoyed being able to drink my coffee on the front deck overlooking the ocean with different birds and fish in the Bay.The host was very gracious and any communication was very easy.
