'I was worried about parking before I came-but it was fine. The 'disc' people talk about is just a clock. Overnight parking is free, on the the street parking bays, and you can set the clock in the evening so that you get a couple of free hours in the morning. Breakfast was delicious, with lots of options. Hotel restaurant, and bar atmosphere was buzzing! Our room overlooking the park was beautiful-only complaint was there wasn't a place with a power point and mirror where you could sit and do...

'The bar was well stocked great pub atmosphere. Our twin room was lovely and spacious. Beds were comfy. Host were friendly left us in peace. The back door was easy quick exit for leaving. There is room for improvement on the corridor to the stairs of our room. Overall would happily stay again. Did not try the food.'

'This is a classic quaint, village inn, excellent food, and very comfortable folksy rooms with loft beds. The proprietor and all the staff are super helpful and friendly. A perfect spot to hike directly to the best spots of Hadrians Wall.'

'The room was nice spacious but could use an update. And they made a fuss about me not wanting to eat in the special 'dog-area' because it felt like being put away... and too hot. i wanted outside but there they didn't serve... finally it was okay but i had to stand my ground and that was not so nice after a very long day's walk... beautiful sitting area outside though!'

'The Hotel is a treat for the eyes and a great place to relax in the many rooms. A beautiful bar and a great breakfast kept us satisfied after a day of exploring the area. A super comfortable bed made our stay even better. The golf course looks beautiful and the hiking trails are interesting. Easy to park your car. The staff were helpful and very polite. 'Accurately advertised. You can literally see a mile castle on Hadrian’s Wall from your room. Beautiful country views. A problem with our heat was addressed immediately. Excellent dinner choices and service in the cozy pub. '

'Room was fine, tea and coffee wasn't very nice and no complementary biscuits. No magnifying mirror in the bathroom. States Brompton however 8 miles away. Bed was really uncomfortable. Evening meal was nice, 10% surcharge on you bill! Wine expenses! Breakfast was so so. Waited a long time for someone to come to the checkin fest on arrival and departure. Probably would try an alternative hotel '

'Room was clean and comfortable, staff were courteous. We had a problem with the lock on the outside door and struggled to get into the hotel when we returned. There was no one to contact if we had been unable to open the door '
