    Ten noorden van het resort Mahana is een grote selectie restaurants in de omgeving van Honokowai; een paar favorieten zijn Pizza Paradiso, Java Jazz, The Fish Market Maui en een oude lokale favoriet Okazuya Deli die je moet proberen tijdens je Maui-vakantie. Ben je een koffieliefhebber? Bad Ass Coffee store serveert een heerlijke kop Joe en heeft ook een aantal geweldige souvenirs voor uw dierbaren thuis. Net naast de deur is een boerenmarkt waar u lokale producten, vers gemaakte smoothies en zelfgemaakte goederen kunt vinden. Verkopers van lokale producten zetten elke maandag-, woensdag- en vrijdagochtend een openluchtmarkt op waar bewoners en bezoekers van kunnen genieten. Times Super Market bevindt zich aan de overkant van het Mahana Resort, waar u boodschappen kunt doen om uw koelkast in de flat te vullen en te genieten van het gemak van koken in uw vakantiewoning. Een van de voordelen van vakantieverblijven is het hebben van een volledige keuken, zodat u niet voor elke maaltijd uit eten hoeft te gaan.

    De stad Lahaina ligt op 15-20 minuten afstand en biedt de mogelijkheid om de historische reis van Hawaï te ervaren. Ooit de walvisvaarthoofdstad van de staat, de thuisbasis van de oudste middelbare school ten westen van de Rocky's (Lahainaluna), is dit bruisende stadje een bezoekersparadijs met musea, winkels, kunstgalerijen, restaurants en een haven. De Outlets zijn ook toegevoegd in 2013 en zijn de thuisbasis van erkende merknamen zoals Coach, Banana Republic, Lucky en Michael Kors. Geweldige producten tegen geweldige prijzen! De Outlets organiseren ook wekelijkse gratis hula-shows. Geniet van wekelijkse ambachtelijke beurzen onder de beroemde Banyan Tree, Hawaiiaanse muziek in het Baldwin House Museum en tweede vrijdagavond-festiviteiten.

    De schoonheid van Kapalua kan worden genoten door middel van wandelingen, restaurants en prachtige stranden. De wandelpaden bij Kapalua variëren van eenvoudig tot extreem moeilijk! Geniet van het gemak van de Kapalua Coastal Trail, de Village Trails of de zeer moeilijke Mahana Ridge Trail .. Kapalua is de thuisbasis van enkele van de beste restaurants van Maui. Hogere eindpunten zoals Merrimans, Sansei, het Plantation House Restaurant, Cane en Canoe, en de Banyan Tree zijn geweldig voor elke speciale gelegenheid. Honolua Store, the Pour House en Taverna zijn iets minder duur voor een geweldige smakelijke keuken. De naburige stad Napili heeft ook een selectie van restaurants. Geniet van dineren aan zee in Gazebo of the Seahouse! Culturele smaken van een breed scala, een prachtige koffiebar en meer zijn verkrijgbaar bij het Napili Plaza, samen met een supermarkt, Napili Market. Kapalua Bay Beach werd door Dr. gelabeld als "beste strand" Strand in 2018. Geniet van snorkelen in deze kalme ongerepte wateren. Oneloa, Honolua en Slaughterhouse zijn ook geweldig en op slechts enkele minuten afstand!

    Geniet van alles dat Kaanapali te bieden heeft in slechts 10 minuten rijden. De 3 mijl lange strandwandeling strekt zich uit van de Mahana tot Black Rock van Sheraton tot het Kano-strand net voorbij het Hyatt Regency Maui. De promenade is zeer handig voor een ochtend cardio-training of een ontspannen wandeling met wat koffie. Winkels en restaurants zijn te vinden in alle hotels of in Whaler's Village. Geniet van de gratis hula-optredens in de Tiki Bar van Hula Grill en Kaanapali Beach Hotel. Geniet van fijne retailers zoals Lululemon, Sephora en Tommy Bahama. Leilani's on the Beach, Hula Grill en Monkeypod zijn geweldige restaurants in Whaler's Village, samen met veel plaatsen waar je naartoe kunt gaan. Veel van de beste catamaran- en parasailtochten van Maui vertrekken ook direct vanaf Kaanapali Beach. Letterlijk trekken de boten naar de kustlijn om te laden en lossen. Snorkelzeilen, zonsondergangcruises en parasailen zijn allemaal binnen handbereik.

Maui relaxing

The property was very nice we totally enjoyed our stay, people were very friendly, parking was easy and available. Watching the ocean and checking out the whales from our lanai was relaxing and pleasant. Could have used two beach chairs with condo and more spoons and forks, otherwise everything was perfect.

We enjoyed our stay here. Comfortable and clean. Very nice that beach towels were provided. Sofa bed mattress was nice. Only problem was arriving late and not having any sheets for sofa bed. We called owner and he kept insisting they were there. After 10 mins of arguing on phone, i finally convinced him that the sheets were missing. He did bring some sheets but it took a while. Otherwise, we had a great stay!

Can't get much closer to the ocean!

Can't get much closer to the ocean! Fantastic location. Perfect for traveling around the neighborhood without a car - market, restaurants, beaches. 3rd floor offers an excellent view but still isolated from folks walking by. We just saw a pod of dolphins swim and leap by. Condition of the unit is slightly dated but no issues. The property grounds are excellent - fauna, pool, grills, etc. Communication with the property manager is good and consistent but somewhat confusing since there were 3 distinct ways used over the course of the stay - VRBO, email and an iOS app. This is a minor issue. Overall, we completely enjoyed our stay!

1) Many areas of the ceiling has the plaster falling. Some of the areas look like a past water damage. 2) The wash machine only runs on permanent press cycle. It sounds like it is about to break down. 3). Could use an overall update.

Amazing! I always forget to leave reviews but I could not for this one. First off if you're staying on kaanapali and don't have a large group skip Costco and Walmart, the Times grocery store has you covered for food and the prices are normal. We got to the resort late but there was someone there to help us who was very friendly. The view was so breathtaking, even at night. So much so that us night dwellers made it up early to cook breakfast and eat it with the unobstructed view on the lanai.Every morning, we saw turtles and surf lessons right outside the condo. We were there to celebrate a friends birthday who was staying at the Hyatt (which we visited and is very nice), but they were all so impressed with our condo and location that they spent every night at our condo and around our area. About the area, even if you don't have a car don't worry you have everything you need right there. The grocery store is less than a 5 min walk along with a food truck court, which is stellar. One of my favorite restaurants was Java Jazz (goat cheese bruschetta yum). If you're into night life there's Pizza Paradiso that has great food along with nightly entertainment. A walk along the beach will lead you to Dukes. A short drive will take you to Napali bay, dragons tooth, or down to whalers village...if you want a "fancy" night out check out Ulu on the water definitely the best steak I've EVER had. Side not *smokers, they have 2 places at the resort for you short walk.

I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We’ve stayed at the Mahana 4 times, this apartment was the least updated, least clean, & least favorite to have stayed in. There are some areas that were updated- bath and kitchen, but if you’re looking to sleep well or feel taken care of, this apartment nor the service of Sullivan properties suffices. We actually stayed in a different apartment for the first 3 days but had to vacate because of scheduling. We were so well cared for by the previous company “My perfect Stays” who went above and beyond and were so kind. They treated us as upscale guests and never made us feel there was anything we couldn’t ask for. Including keeping our luggage during the check out/ check in to this apartment #306. A very distinct difference with Sullivan properties, who said no to every request that we had- which was very little. The amenities were also poor in comparison to other apartments in the mahana. Not only did we have to ask 4 times for a chair and umbrella (which Sullivan will tell you they do not provide because not wanting to be sued?) when asked if they could help us with our luggage they just said “No, we re sorry.” What property management says no? Also, the bed is awful, Like a motel bed with 3 different layers of padding to cover up how old and dilapidated this mattress is. The management does not understand or want to know what nice accommodations are, they should never rent this place as it is. The ceiling is falling apart, the chairs stained and dirty, the towels were cheap and had hairs on them- we spent our entire first day - which was my birthday- doing 3 loads of laundry. Sadly, the integrity and service just isn’t here. It makes sense why they only manage 1 apartment in the mahana. Even the bar soap they provide was paper thin, thankfully we brought the great ones we were given by “my perfect stays” this property management seems of low bar and does not understand hospitality. The unit is very close to the ocean so if you do not like to hear the water do not pick this unit. The water pressure in the shower is great also and the ac keeps the unit nice and cool if you are here when you might need ac. We didn't use it very much this trip. The trades kept everything pleasant. It is the perfect size for 1 couple maybe 1 child also. The facility is very nice with a nice pool and the bbq work great also . We would stay here again

We would book again in a heartbeat. Unfortunately early bookings not accepted. Our schedule forces us to book early. Interior dated, but super clean and comfortable. Lanai furniture updated since current picture.

Great beachfront rental

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We rented Mahana Kaanapali thru Sullivan Properties initially for May 2020 but needless to say it had to be deferred due to Covid. They were so accommodating to allow us to apply our credits beyond the normal 12 month period, so we went first week of Dec. Great view of the ocean, plenty of room and had all amenities you need for a rental. The only thing I would say to improve in this unit is to replace the bed as it was not that comfortable. Aside from that it was great value for the price we paid.

Pleasantly Surprised

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My husband and I tend to stay on 4-5* accommodations. We had planned our NYE Hawaii trip a bit late in October and while we're used to high end prices for high end hotels, we were pretty astonished at some of the pricing for what we considered to be mediocre hotel brands for that week, despite the last minute planning. We found an almost "too good to be true" price for our NYE week (of course price is subjective) with this condo on and decided to go for it instead of spending a week researching hotels and alternative airbnb accommodations. I kept expectations low but when we arrived I was pleasantly surprised. The condo is directly in front of the ocean - for such a view you will pay at least $2k+ p/wk during a holiday week at any other hotel brand. There is a king size bedroom, spacious living + dining area, and renovated kitchen with all the cooking essentials and renovated bathroom vanity area. I was a little disappointed in the shower as it's quite old, but after a day I got used to it and the water pressure was perfect. The wifi was reliable, which was helpful since I did have work Zoom calls each morning. Having a washer/dryer was also fantastic during a week long stay, and I particularly liked washing my own towels during covid, as well as being able to return home with clean clothes. The apartment was also completely silent day and night, which I absolutely loved - either the ocean drains out noise or there is solid insulation. The area is within walking distance to a supermarket and the other prime hotels, as well as our fav restaurant for the week - Dukes of Malibu! We didn't use the pool but families seem to enjoy it daily, and I wish I'd have know there was a tennis court so we could have packed rackets - it was always empty. The condo bldg itself was well maintained with a pleasant concierge and fire tikis stationed outside for a warm tropical welcome. Sullivan was also very helpful in promptly answering our questions.
