U bent uitgenodigd om uit te rusten en te ontspannen in "Ka Hale Lai", Kailua's Huis van Sereniteit, 5 minuten naar het strand (wandelen) en een korte rit naar het hart van de stad Kailua. Dit is een legale, gelicentieerde vakantiewoning. Je voelt je alsof je het oude Hawaï bezoekt in dit klassieke huis. The house is beautiful, especially the yard and they provide pool inflatable and beach gear which was helpful. Kitchen is well equipped. Having 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms was great. However the master bed and bath are only accessible by walking outside to pool area and going back in through a separate door. Also there is no door on the master bathroom. Air conditioning in each room was wonderful. There was a very loud water hammer in the first bathroom off the kitchen whenever the toilet was flushed. Host was responsive. I was worried about the location being noisy as it backs up to a main road and the Kaneohe marine base, but it was quiet. We very rarely heard any traffic noise. Being in Kailua was great to be close to Kailua and Lanikai beaches but any activities in Honolulu or Waikiki were approx a 30 min drive. The house is close enough to walk to the water but not to a beach that you can swim at. Swimming beaches are a short drive about 10 min away. Also most of the sliding doors on the house can't be locked which was concerning to me. It seems like a safe neighborhood but I like to be able to lock up valuables. We would recommend this house and would love to visit again.

We enjoyed our 5 day stay and especially enjoyed the use of the pool and all the different pool toy equipment. The extras like beach towels and ice chest were also appreciated. The home was clean, spacious and well equipped for our party of 6. The only suggestion is to have at least one extra toilet paper roll in each bathroom, an extra paper towel roll and hand soap for all the sinks. The neighborhood was quiet and the yard was beautiful. Contacting the owners by text made communication easy.

The house was exactly as described and couldn’t have been more perfect from location to amenities. The hosts were very responsive, very accommodating and answered all our questions quickly. We are already planning another vacation to stay at this exceptional property. I can’t recommend this property enough and wish I could give them 10 stars!!M!

Our group loved this home. The layout is bright and open and has multiple spots to tuck in and visit or find some privacy. The pool, hot tub and outdoor space were highlights. Kitchen was well equipped and super functional.

Nice property, quiet safe neighborhood. "Hot" tub did not go above room temperature; it was just a tub...disappointing after spending the day hiking. BBQ grill was gross, and we were not in the mood to clean it. Beverage cooler was also disgusting. Lights under the patio umbrella did not work. Smoke detectors were missing from the ceiling mounts in the living room and master suite. No indoor fireplace but there was an outdoor fire pit, no coffee grinder and the fridge ice maker also didn't work. Minor inconveniences but if it is listed on the profile, it should be provided. Paid the asking price but did not get all the listed amenities.

Property was conveniently located. Kailua is a great town with beautiful beaches and things to do daily. Driving to Waikiki, Kahlua Ranch, and Diamond Head was easy. For military families this property is conveniently located adjacent to the Marine base.

Great Quiet Place

My family and I really enjoyed our stay here. The pool and jacuzzi were a hit with the kids and the patio area was a nice place to hang out and play games for the adults. The backyard had plenty of space for my son and I to play catch.We appreciated the quietness of the area and being a bit off the traditionally beaten path. You aren't so far away from stuff that getting anywhere on the island didn't feel like a real trek.The best beach we visited in our week long stay was the one just down the road from the house. If you're anything like me or my family, you like not having all the chaos of Wikiki and having your own little oasis beach with limited numbers of people.The lone compliant we had about the house was that the walls are pretty thin, so if you're a light sleeper, anticipate a little bit of noise from your other housemates. All in all, we absolutely loved our stay and already miss the home.

Beautiful house, beautiful pool. Washer was helpful and worked well. Only two kid challenges were that the lava rock edges on the pool were a little rough for the kids, and one of the bedrooms is only accessible via the backyard/pool area.

Fantastic house

What a great place to stay! If you are thinking about staying in the Kailua area, this is a perfect house. Great layout, super clean, nice neighborhood and close to the beach! This was our third time staying in Kailua and this house was easily the best. We'd definitely go back.
