  • Hoofdstuk 1

    Onze DIRECTE OCEANFRONT hoek-eenheid (# 1) heeft een eigen strand op slechts 27 stappen verwijderd van de Lanai (patio). Deze eindeenheid (niemand onder u of boven u) heeft extra privacy toegevoegd, waaronder een rustig gedeelte met gras. Ervaar zonsondergangen het hele jaar door en laat het geluid van de golven je ontspannen. Vanuit de Lanai, de slaapkamer aan de kust, en zelfs de douche op de bovenverdieping, genieten van het kijken naar groene schildpadden die op de rotsen grazen, de spinnerdolfijnen die springen (meestal 's ochtends') en de bultruggen die offshore doorboren of klapperen (tijdens de winterbevalling / paarseizoen) ).

    We zijn direct aan een zout en peper strand. Aan het verre noorden, veel getijdenpoelen met beestjes en rotstekeningen. Aan de zuidkant, bij vloed als de golven rustig zijn, dan ervaren & fit snorkelaars (met een maatje, nooit alleen!) kan een verscheidenheid aan zeeleven vinden. Echter, als een nieuweling en / of de zeeën ruwer zijn, dan is het Kahaluu-strand (slechts ~ 5 minuten lopen ten noorden van onze baai) vol zeeleven en een veiligere locatie (met beschermende oude zeewering en strandwachten).

    Beide slaapkamers hebben Cal King-bedden. De woonkamer heeft een bank en love seat, 42 "HDTV, DVD / BluRay-speler en audio-systeem (met plug & USB-poorten). Gratis high-speed WiFi en telefoon (lokaal, U. S., Canada, Mexico, China, en EU). Volledig uitgeruste keuken voor zowel eenvoudige als elegante maaltijden. We bieden veel extra's: shampoo en conditioner, wasmiddel, afwasmiddel, strandhanddoeken, snorkelspullen, koeler, boogieplanken en strandstoelen, etc. Dit apparaat is aan de buitenzijde van de oceaan ondergedompeld met uitgebreide jalousie-ramen waardoor het zeebriesje en geluid net zo gemakkelijk op je afkomen als het licht van zonsondergangen of maanlicht (plafondventilatoren, geen airconditioning).

    Locatie: Ons herenhuis is gelegen in Keauhou-Kona Surf & Racquet Club, een besloten 16 hectare grote gemeenschap ~ 5 mijl ten zuiden van het centrum van Kona. Het complex beschikt over 3 pro-grade verlichte tennisbanen (met tennis pro-toegang), een groot zwembad, een volleybalveld, BBQ-putten en gasgrills. Het terrein is weelderig met prachtige bloemen. We zijn ook op loopafstand van Kona Country Club voor golf (verlaagde tarieven als een Surf & Racquet Club-gast) en het Keauhou Shopping Center met kruidenierszaken en drogisterijen, restaurants, bioscoop, en een inloopkliniek ... .plus op Op zaterdagochtend bezoekt u hun boerenmarkt met lokale producten, Kona-koffie, bloemen en vis. Onze locatie is handig om het Big Island te verkennen of gewoon te ontspannen in de buurt van de zee!

Not sure if there is anything that can be done, but in the lanai area there are a lot of mosquitoes. I couldn't sit out there at night because I got bitten up pretty badly—just a heads up. The view was spectacular!!! And the convenience of the beach.

This townhome was steps away from a black sand beach with gorgeous views! We had a great time and it was so convenient to go snorkeling, drive a bit to downtown Kona, or visit many other scenic spots! Our rooms were very clean and we had access to towels, beach gear, and a washer/dryer. The kitchen was spacious for its size and a nice patio was available for scenic meals. There is no A/C but if you open the windows and turn on fans it is comfortable. Parking was close by and it’s nice to have the option of a pool and tennis courts. Thanks Maria for a great time!

NO AIR CONDITIONING With temperatures in the mid to high 80s and very high humidity during the month of May, this unit got uncomfortably hot during the day even with every fan available turned up high. To return to this townhome after the day's activities to change for dinner found it very hot and stuffy. The unit did cool down starting before sunset with a nice cool ocean breeze, and sleeping was comfortable with the windows open.

Location can’t be beat

My family had a magical stay here. So close to the beach, a great location with everything we needed, friendly neighbors, the pool was a great option when we (our kids) needed a break from sandy beaches. We really loved it and would definitely come back again!

Paradise

Me and my buddies couldn't have been happier... this place was in a perfect location and close to everything. The private beach was perfect for our morning coffee walks and for watching the beautiful sunsets.the house was very clean and had pretty much everything you could need for fun in the sun. I would definitely stay here again....

Tide Pools

My grandson was with us and he didn’t want to leave the tide pool! The sunset here beautiful from the lanai and the property was near everything!

Nice! As advertised

Lanai provided a beautiful view, steps to a nice little beach. BBQ's were close, and not busy. The tide pools nearby were interesting to explore. Shopping center up the hill was handy, with a great shave ice place. Condo was in a great location, we'd definitely stay again.

Quiet townhome in the beach

We loved our week at the house. Everything went smoothly and it was so nice and quiet. The adjacent snorkeling beach park happened to be closed all week for coral sponing, but nearby magic sands was open as were other snorkeling beaches.

Best Place to Stay in the Big Island

This is our 2nd time staying here and it will not be our last. If you are on the Big Island, this is where you want to be. Oceanview from Lanai, Pool and Tennis Courts as well as a great place to stay. There is a Shopping plaza with a grocery store, Movie theater, drug store and a bunch of restaurants all in walking distance. There is a beach footsteps from the townhouse great for watching sunsets and exploring the tide pools. We look forward to staying here on our next trip. Thank you for another amazing stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. The unit has a beautiful ocean view, and being able to hear the waves from the bedrooms at night—and even while showering upstairs—made the stay feel extra peaceful. The community is very quiet with lush, well‑kept grounds that add to the relaxing atmosphere.There’s no air conditioning, but the cross‑breeze with the windows open was lovely for us. Still, it’s something to consider depending on personal comfort. The location is great too: close to grocery stores and restaurants, yet far enough from the busy tourist areas to feel calm and private. We especially loved spending quiet mornings on the lanai.We did experience one unusual night where guests in another unit next door were extremely loud and inebriated late into the evening, yelling, cursing and drinking on their lanai. With the windows open it was definitely disruptive, but the host/property manager handled it quickly, and it didn’t happen again. Parking was easy, close by, and made coming and going simple.It was just my husband and me on this trip, and we would absolutely recommend this place for a peaceful getaway. I can’t speak in detail about all the kitchen utensils since I bring my own due to a gluten allergy, but there were items available, and the provided soap and shampoo were a nice touch. My only small suggestion would be to include basics like salt and pepper.Overall, a lovely and calming place to stay.

This home is an absolute gem!

There is so much to share about this home! First, the location is incredible - to open the backdoor and feel the ocean breeze was so wonderful! Our family loved looking at the tide pools and seeing reef fish at high tide! We were a short drive from so many amazing beaches and places. The house was fully loaded with everything we needed, including things like a mini beach cooler, snorkels, tennis/pickleball rackets, beach chairs...we didn't need to buy a thing to be very comfortable! We can't wait to come back - this house was a key part of why we loved Kona so much!

Beautiful stay in paradise

We had another great visit to KSRC - our favorite place to stay on the Big Island! We have stayed in a couple of different units here over the years and this is definitely one we would return to. Well maintained, amazing view, close proximity to the little adjacent beach as well as the pool - perfection! Loved laying in bed and watching/listening to the ocean waves. When we needed help with a fan in the unit that wasn't working, the property manager was quick to respond. Definitely recommend. Aloha and Mahalo!

The location of this VRBO is ideal. It is close to many beautiful places. I can't say enough about the black sand beach just outside the property. While it is not a great swimming location (at least while we were there), it is amazing if you like exploring tidepools and snorkeling when conditions are right. There was a king tide while we were there, and some of the condos were actually damaged by waves. We only took a chance on snorkeling on two days, but the yellow tangs were so plentiful that we could see them swimming from the master bedroom window. The house is as described. If you are traveling in the summer, you should beware. The house is HOT, even with the trade winds blowing. We used every fan in the house and it was still uncomfortable. We also struggled with sleeping. Three of the six morning, grounds crews woke us before 7:00. Not a quick grass cut either, hours of chainsaw action with limbs hitting the house. The check-in instructions were not great and communication with the host was not ideal. Both the microwave and blender had issues. This location was perfect and despite a few difficulties, we had a blast. Just know what you are getting into if you book this in the summer month. We had been traveling for over two weeks when we arrived and were looking for seaside rest . With the noise and heat, we couldn't make that happen. Also, the only dining table at the house is on the lanai.

Location, location, location!

We had an amazing stay in this unit in Keauhou, which is away from the tourist bustle of Kona, but close and convenient to everything. Direct access to a nice beach right off the lanai with soothing ocean sounds all day and night. No AC, but we didn’t miss it with all the fans bringing in the ocean breezes. They provide virtually all the amenities, including beach gear for your day adventures. We stopped at Costco on our way from the airport and stocked up to cook for our entire week’s stay and had pretty much all we needed in the kitchen for evening meals on the lanai. Would definitely love to come back!
