Gewoon gebouwd en weelderig aangelegd voor het strand wonen, Honu biedt een comfortabele woon / eetkamer en een handige keuken met nieuwere toestellen in het midden van het huis, met twee slaapkamers en aangrenzende badkamers op tegenovergestelde einden voor de privacy. Hardhouten vloeren, uitgestrekte ramen en plafond fans over de hele toe te voegen aan uw comfort. Alle kamers hebben uitzicht op de oceaan, evenals de overdekte Lanai met uitzicht op de prachtige tuin, omringd door heldere paarse bougainville en opvallend contrasterende Royal Poinciana. Volwassen aanplant omvatten Singapore plumeria voor lei-making, kroon bloemen die monarch vlinders aan te trekken, tiare gardenia, en geurige pikake geplant net buiten de slaapkamer.
De werf en de aanplant dienen ook om privacy te creëren, terwijl de tuin wandeling krijgt u recht op het strand, waar je zwemmen, duiken, snorkelen en zonnebaden terwijl u geniet van de reuzenmanta, wintertijd walvis activiteit, en natuurlijk de betoverende honu.

The Best

Incredible Home, Location, and Host!

We had a wonderful time in this absolutely stunning home. Our host Mary was the most accommodating host we have ever had on VRBO. She was so helpful and all the tips for restaurants and activities were spot on. The location is incredible and steps away from a one of the best beaches (Beach 69) on the island! The entire trip was magic! We will for sure return to this home or look to 2 Papayas for other locations they host. Book this place, you will not be disappointed.

The perfect spot for two couples or a family of 4-5.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a week with another couple. We loved the layout of the house. Each bedroom has its own bathroom and is on the opposite sides of the main living room and kitchen, so it feels separated and private. The balcony is lovely and the grounds are beautiful. It’s a two minute walk to the most beautiful secluded bay. The beach has soft sand, plenty of shade and incredible snorkeling. One of our favorite features is the outdoor shower, which has warm water! The house is beautifully decorated and Mary is a dream to work with. Very communicative and accommodating! We will definitely be back!

Best of the Big Island!

The Honu House was by far the nicest rental we’ve stayed at in HI. The location can’t be beat. The house was spotless upon our arrival, the beds comfy. Honu had everything we could want or need. Want gorgeous sunsets? This is the place to be! Fresh Meyers limes grown just outside the front door for your papayas and mai tais? They’re here! Perfect weather, lovely trade winds, adorable geckos on the lanai,so many birds! We will be back!

Perfect Location

I am hesitant to share how perfect the location was (especially for me traveling with 3 teen girls), as it could make it harder to book in the future... The check in process, house and location were perfect. I didn't really want to leave the house and we walked to the beach multiple times a day. Loved everything about it.

No more resorts for us

This lovely home sits minutes from the beach. The kitchen is well-equipped with new appliances. The bedrooms are private and the lanai is cozy...it's where I fell asleep every night listening to the waves. The yard is pleasant and there is an outdoor shower area. The decor is laid-back, upscale, and beachy which kept me from missing a resort altogether. We had space and the convenience of a carport. The beach is shady and less busy than the neighboring Hapuna. Great communication with host.

An awesome location, quiet neighborhood, lovely sandy beach, great for snorkeling, everything you need for beach comfort, and perfect for two couples. Comfy beds and very helpful manager. Special shout out to the friendly gardeners who gave us many ideas for neat places to visit, and make the garden beautiful! Would definitely return!

Honu House delight

We had a wonderful week in Honu House, walked in to fresh floral arrangement and Hawaiian music. Heavenly! Really loved the closeness to beach. Plenty of towels and linens, beach chairs, etc. Very clean and well equipped. Mary attended to our few needs with help to figure out great places to eat. Loved everything about it except the time went by too quickly. Thank you for a blissful stay. The lime tree in the yard provided a few limes for our drinks!

Excellent stay in Puako

Perfect Big Island getaway with everything you need for a relaxing vacation. House is close enough to Beach 69 you can hear the surf on the shore from everywhere on the property. Gated access to the neighborhood. Do not worry about the lack of AC - there are ceiling fans all over and fresh mauka breezes blew down every night of our stay. Mahalo for our time in such a beautiful place.

Nice beach property

We enjoyed our stay of 9 nights. The house's location can't be beat...steps away from a great, shaded beach and a very quiet neighborhood. The house has a great Hawaiian feel and had all amenities we could need, especially with kitchen /cooking and beach supplies. Beds and living spaces are comfortable. Staff at 2Papayas is wonderful, friendly, and very helpful. We loved the nice welcoming touches upon arrival. No air conditioning, but the house was cool enough at night and listening to the waves and birds at night and morning felt like a real retreat!

Great Cozy House, amazing location

We highly recommend this property, we are a family of 5 that stayed here for a week, amazing snorkling and beach right outside your door, Mary and two Papayas was wonderful, attentive, thought-full. Many little details and extras in the house that made the stay amazing. She even helped us find and rent surfboards from Adam at Lat20 who was amazing. If you have the chance to rent this house , do it...It was the highlight of our trip..

Wonderful home in the best location

We loved this house and location. The house has every amenity, the beds are comfortable and the lanai is heaven. Everyday we enjoyed snorkeling in the bay that is just a one minute walk from the lanai. The outdoor shower makes for easy beach to house living. We are birders and the variety of birds feasting on the backyard papaya tree was great. The staff at 2 Papayas couldn’t be nicer and were super helpful. We can’t wait to go back!

Great Location

Home is located in great area for restaurants and beaches. One of the best beaches is just a couple hundred feet on sand path from back gate. Really quite neighborhood. Nice home with very helpful owner and property management company. Home has lots of beach gear for guest use. Made for a perfect week.

A slice of paradise

The property was as advertised or better. This is one of the nicest places we have ever been. The ocean and a sandy beach is steps away. Loved the sounds of the birds, ocean breezes and enjoyed relaxing on the porch and the beach. Wonderful.

Wonderful stay

As regular visitors to the Hawaiian islands, all in our party (3 adults and 2 children) agree this is the best beach! The Honu house is perfect: no traffic, no noise, perfectly set up with bedrooms at opposite ends yet both connect to the lanai. Everything you could want to prepare meals, go to the beach or just relax is provided. The group, 2 Papayas, are wonderful to deal with, being quick to respond to any requests. Was very difficult to leave this ideallic spot. We will definitely return.
