De kamers van hotel OZO azijn mega ruim. Wij hadden een kamer met uitzicht op Kandy Lake. Het ontbijt is echt geweldig! Veel keus. Er zit een sportschool in het hotel waar je veel verschillende apparaten hebt. Het dakterras mét zwembad is ook een uitkomst als je aan de drukte wilt ontsnappen. Kortom: een mega goed hotel!

Probably the worst hotel we have stayed in. Main issue was the cleanliness, hopefully i can add photos to this review to show the state on the Bedding, looked like the sheets hadnt been washed since someone deficated on them!!! As for the smell in the room, what looked like someone died on the carpets and the food looking like it had been out for days! If we could have moved hotels that evening we would have, but it was late when we arrived. Staff response to the state of the rooms...."well it's one of our nicest rooms...." but it doesnt matter if its so dirty! Anyway, we checked out the next day rather than staying for the 3 nights booked. The general manager said "he understood and that we should apply for the refund of the 2 unused nights through Expedia and that he would sort it out at his end. The team at Expedia were very helpful but guess what, refund rejected. Having now tried twice to contact Radisson directly with no response we decided to do this review. Having had an amazing stay at the Radisson Red in Cape Town recently, it is not the chain, but i think a management change in Kandy would help! One final word of warning, the TukTuk driver in the smart white outfit who hangs around the hotel and is friends with the luggage guy at the hotel should be barred. He is aggressive, threatens you when you just want to walk to the Lake, threatens taxi drivers! Beware. I dont like giving these kinds of reviews but needs doing to save other travellers.

Great location overlooking the lake in Kandy, with views of the Tooth Temple. Extremely comfortable room. Rooftop bar and pool were wonderful. We were excellently looked after by the team at the Radisson and would highly recommend this accommodation.

Very surprising and nice Radisson
As with so many places, it is greatly about the service. The front desk staff was wonderful, even the bellman was enthusiastic and helpful Thebreakfast buffet was varied and having a coffee machine with multiple choices of beverages was efficient and moved the lines along. The table outside were nice but could have had some kind of shade cover in place. The sunrise from my fifth floor balcony was breathtaking.

So I am high level elite status with both Marriott and IHG over a long period, so mostly stay within those hotel groups across the globe given both the perks and the rewards bookings with points. Kandy did not have that option, and with a 1.5yo baby didn't feel adventurous enough to try a boutique unknown brand (even with good reviews), so we chose this Radisson as a known 'brand'. It had been 11 years since we last stayed at a Radisson anywhere and that was Puerto Rico. For reference also this was a personal trip to Kochi in Kerala with my spouse and 1.5yo child and overall our first trip to Sri Lanka and Kandy specifically. We stayed for 2 nights and booked a suite room overlooking the beautiful Kandy Lake, and also included the breakfast option (which was a buffet). Overall, like mostly everywhere in Sri Lanka, the service was excellent throughout the hotel from check-in to housekeeping to breakfast and rooftop servers and concierge. Everyone did their best to try and help out, and were attentive to our baby. The room while not massive for a suite, still had 2 main rooms, purely a stand-in shower, a large balcony overlooking the lake . And because we were in the corner we got a city view as well as some of major sights like Sawtooth Buddhist temple with its gold roof. It was modern, and they well provided for our baby with extra garbage bags, crib, etc. The breakfast had very good Sri Lankan food, as well as some western options. Hoppers on demand are always a highlight.

Incredible balcony view
Nice hotel with amazing view over Kandy and lake. The biggest minus for me was the food, so bad! The veggie burger was a couple of vegetable slices and bread, and the dinner buffé did not taste good. They should hire a new chef and focus on a small, but really delish, menu. Another minus was the different prices on tours/taxis depending on who in the staff you asked. It would enhance the experience if they had one person handling tours and booking who understood questions and gave correct price info.

Won't be recommending this place.
The hotel doesn't live up to the expectation. The staff really should get more training In customer service. It's a chain, but a sri lankan chain - they are doing things of how they see it in their own perspective. Even though the hotel is new it is already very "tired". All of the mirrors were foggy (maybe that's the design?). The breakfast was no good at all. Could've stayed at a much nicer place with greater service for half the price!

Lyxig känsla med fina rum och takterrass
Jag besökte Kandy tillsammans med min flickvän och vi var mycket nöjda med hotellet. Rummet var större och finare än vi förväntat oss. Servicen jättebra, de hjälpte tex oss när vi hade frågor om tågtabellen och ringde och dubbelkollade att vi fått rätt biljetter. Vi åt både middags- och frukostbuffén som båda hade många alternativ och var goda. Hotellet takterrass har fantastisk utsikt, fräsch pool och är ett bra sätt att avsluta dagen på. Utanför hotellet finns också en liten restaurang som heter No name som har supergod och prisvärd mat (+att ägaren är toppen!).

We stayed here for 2 nights in a Dream Lake Room. It was spacious with a nice balcony and scenic view. Breakfast is buffet style with lots to choose from. The hotel is modern with a lovely rooftop pool and bar. It’s on a steep hill which may be unsuitable for many to walk up / down. We used tuk tuks and there are always some outside the hotel for a very reasonable price.

Lovely, friendly staff. Great pool and facilities. Very clean accommodation, facilities to a high standard. Great views and not far from town. Kandy worthy of a visit.

Excellent hôtel. Personne très agréable. Nourriture excellente. Très propre !! Bar et piscine. Super propre. Un peu à l’écart mais se fait très bien en tuk-tuk. À recommander!

Great stay at OZO!
Great stay at Ozo. Convenient, clean, good facilities. Rooftop with a pool. Food at the rooftop bar was 'meh', but the breakfast was superb on the other hand. Not extremely cosy, but modern and well functioning. Helpful staff.
