'The Royal is a great hotel situated in the quaint village of Heysham.
We loved our stay. Lots of nice walks and history. The hotel has a very relaxed and chilled atmosphere.
The food is excellent and all staff are friendly and display excellent communication and customer service skills.
Everwhere is spotlessly clean. Free parking is an added bonus.
We will be returning soon and I will recommend the Royal to my friends and family.'

'Booking was for room only which was fine. Self check in worked well and I was allowed to arrive early which gave me time to explore the area. I walked from the ferry terminal which was only 15 minutes away. There is sufficient car parking at the hotel. Very quiet and pleasant room. Very comfy bed and everything very clean. Local pub good for food in evening. Interesting watching many massive lorries sounding their horns when going past the outside diners! '

'Stayed for a night on the way to Wales, great location on the promenade, got parked right across the street, made very welcome, very comfy bed, great breakfast and its a lovely town ended up staying around until afternoon....what more do you want for under £50??? '

'My new favourite Morecambe hotel. Stayed here twice now, should have tried it earlier. This is an older hotel, not slick and modern, so quirky, and the facilities are more basic, and may not suit you if you prefer modernity (try the Midland, and then pay for it!). More space in the rooms than many other hotels close by. Friendly staff, nice bar, a little quiet, which is fine by me, as there's a busy bar downstairs in the basement. Decent breakfast at a reasonable price'

'The lady manager greeted us on arrival, she was very friendly and helpful and bubbly which made a difference to our stay it mad us feel welcome, the only thing was there wasn't always someone on reception.
The restaurant was nice but wasn't keen on the very large thick cut chips which were under cooked. And I'm not sure if the person serving us was a man or a woman...he spoke and looked like a man but had a dress on!!!

I had an unpleasant suprise... Room 3 was quiet (thank you!) even though the property - unnamed on the outside - is on a busy, noisy road. A little over priced, on balance.'

The stairs going up to the rooms needed a good cleaning and refurbishing. After opening the door to the room I was surprised how small it was, 8’x8’?
