Base Camp for exploring Kathmandu
Location made shops and local attractions convenient. Very helpful with diet restrictions. Let the hotel reception help organise tours inside Kathmandu and in the surrounding area. There local knowledge meant trips were much cheaper than with tour operators.

Vriendelijke mensen, schoon en zonder stroomuitval
De mensen in het hotel zijn zéér vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Een groot voordeel van dit hotel ten opzichte van andere waar ik ben geweest is dat ze altijd elektriciteit en warm water hebben, daar hadden andere hotels nog wel eens moeite mee. Een verbeterpunt is het ontbijt, wat ik veel van hetzelfde vond.

Very nice place to stay, highly recommended
We had a very pleasant stay in the Avataar Kathmandu Hotel, great service and a very helpfull friendly staff, they arranged mountain flight tickets, a driver and tour guide to show us Kathamandu and surroundings. At the topflour they have a very nice place to have a drink with a good view of the city. Whenever back in Kathmandu we will surely go back to the Avataar Kathmandu Hotel.very nice clean and good located hotel with a very reasonable price and a great service Best regards to the staff from Carla, Lilian, Frank and Gijs From Holland

Centraal in Thamel
We hebben zowel aan het begin als aanhet einde van onze reis in dit hotel overnacht. De kamers en de bedden zijn comfortabel en er is een heerlijke douche (wel met een raam naar het slaapgedeelte maar af te sluiten met een gordijn). Ze maken gebruik van een soort black light waardoor je heel veel schakelaars hebt. Het hotel heeft een generator dus af en toe valt de stroom weg maar dat springt snel weer aan. Zeer vriendelijk personeel wat je met alles kan helpen, ook regelen tours. Het hotel ligt zeer centraal in Thamel en veel is op loopafstand te vinden.

The hospitality and welcomeness was exceptional. The staff were very polite and friendly. The property is nicely situated in the midst of a bustling tourist-town Thamel, which made it easier to go around. The amenities provided were great as well. I recommend this place for future travelers!

部屋に入ると清潔感に欠ける印象を受けた。ベッドを確認したら、シーツが汚れていたのが気になった。シャワーの横に洗面台があり、シャワーを浴びると木製の扉が濡れてしまう。出るまでに時間はかかるが、シャワーのお湯は温かく湯量も十分だった。

Good hotel in Thamel area
Good budget hotel. Clean, safe, and friendly staff. Easy to get anywhere with plenty of taxi and buses nearby. area full of tourists and backpackers.no trouble at all.my only complaint is about breakfast.they should add more items. Apart from this I would recommend to anyone.

The Avataar Hotel has very talented staff, respect the customers and very well aware regarding the need of their customers and provide them the required services. Finding the hotel was a bit of the challenge, however between the taxi and the hotel they got me there. When making a booking, insist on a room not facing the street otherwise you won't sleep.

Good location and modern bedrooms
Located in the tourist area of Themal, Avataar Hotel is central and within walking distance of some main attractions and taxi services. The staff were helpful and organised a free airport taxi one way when we left, which was very helpful and efficient. Breakfast on the rooftop was adequate with a sufficient range of foods and drinks. The room was very modern with air con and fridge (although ours didn’t turn on). There was an issue with hotel water for our last two days but this is common in Nepal, although communication from the staff would have been nice to let us know if/when it was coming back on. Overall, we had a pleasant stay.

Great location, friendly staff and very affordable
My friend and I recently stayed here. The twin room was big enough not to be tripping over each other. This was our first trip to Kathmandu and i found this Hotel on Expedia and it was as it appears on the photos. One of the owners, Mr Jack is also a registered travel agent, so we booked our domestic flights and tours through him, He also arranged all our airport transfers. If you are looking for a clean, friendly and reasonably priced accomadation in Thamel, then this will be for you.

Zimmer waren in Ordnung! Sauberkeit war gut, einml hat uns etwas nicht gepasst und es wurde sofort behoben, sehr netter Manager, sehr freundliches personal!

Nice place, good value.
Overall a nice place to stay. Room seemed a bit smaller than advertised (per measurements) I would recommend to include the breakfast. It's a bit more expensive if need to buy it. The staff is extremely friendly. The fast food stand at the lobby is very cheap and convenient for a quick meal. The root top terrace is very nice. I would definitely stay there again. It's a good value. The transfer from the airport was very reliable also.

Central Location but with BUGS
There were bugs in the room. The staff was really helpful, they've moved to another room. However i will never forget the shock of seeing dozens of 2-inch-big bugs in the room running around. I'm looking for a compensation of the full stay price, it can be in Orbucks as well.

Regarding the bugs as you mention during your stay we didn't find such issue with any guest from past 2 years but as soon as we heard such things we have changed your room to another floor with upgrade room and informed for our pest control next day so that it won't repeat to other guest. We heartily apologize for any inconvenience that was caused to you and for the refund as we moved to another upgrade room so it won't be reliable to ask for refund. If so then you have to contact your booking sites because you have booked from online website. Once again thank you for staying with us and we hope this incident will not make you away to come back to Avataar. Excellent Hotel
Everything was perfect and great.I stayed this hotel before and like everything here.The hotel, location and room were all perfect. The breakfast was excellent on the 6th floor rooftop garden restaurant with the nice view over Kathmandu city.The staff had warmth in their hospitality. They worked in making my stay very comfortable. They can help you to organised a city tour or any information you want with good price. Very friendly & very helpful; all in all I would definitely recommend to everybody.
