'We hebben een zeer leuk verblijf gehad in Faringdon. Het personeel is zeer vriendelijk, lekker ontbijt, zeer goed diner. Er is een heel leuke binnenplaats waar we jammer genoeg door het slechte weer niet echt gebruik van hebben kunnen maken. Ook een gezellige coctailbar en een pub aanwezig. Privéparkeergelegenheid is ook zeer handig. Propere kamers en een zeer ruime badkamer. Goede uitvalsbasis voor een bezoek aan de Costwolds, Bath en Oxford. Aanrader!'

Once inside it was clean and spacious, however we noticed a kitchen setup which upon inspection did not function. The oven and furnace seemed to have been disconnected from power and buttons were removed.
Of course, this was no problem as the inn offers amazing food, so why would you cook your own?'

'A one night sta with my wife. The room was clean and comfortable and my wife really appreciated the black-out curtains. Coffee , tea and water were provided. Bathroom was clean and we were able to have a decent shower. The pressure is not too strong but adequate enough and the water was hot. There are extensive grounds but it was raining one day and extremely hot the next so couldn't take advantage of a stroll.

'We chose The Market Tavern because of it's location - it is in the same village where our son, daughter-in-law and new grandson live and we were visiting.
The whole property has been tastefully renovated and is lovely. We had eaten in the pub before but not stayed.
Bampton is a quaint village with plenty of amenities and is well placed for visiting lots of interesting places.
Breakfast was good with cold and cooked choices. Staff were friendly and attentive.
