'Diner was good, but quite pricy compared with the small portions that we got. '

'The rooms were fine-we’d stay there again. The bathroom fan was running in the wrong direction-pulling air in.'

'On the whole there wasn't anything that we didn't like about our stay. We had a superior room which was very spacious. We couldn't fault the cleanliness of the room, bar/lounge area or the restaurant. The breakfast and dinner menus were v.good. Staff were pleasant and helpful. These are my honest accounts. My only regret is that we did not find the time to use the pool or sauna. However they do serve a lovely pale ale at the bar. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone.'

'Value for money. Hotel is older but clean. Good location in center of Kendal. Good full English breakfast.'

'Lovely Cottage in excellent location close to All amenities in the town centre Clean comfortable with everything you would require a real Home from Home wold not Hesitate in recommending this property'

'Great central location so easy to walk everywhere in Kendal - ideal for out party who could then nip to shops, out for meals etc. Lovely property top to bottom. And a nice welcome gift for us too. Thank you to the hosts.'

'The property was was pretty much as expected, The room was clean and big. The issue we had was there did not seem to be sufficent sound deading between the rooms, as we could hear voices from other rooms. Could not hear what they were saying, but could near the noise. Luckily they went to bed about the same time we did and did not wake up before we did, but it not what we wanted or expected. It was in a very isolated location. That was not a problem for us, but something to be aware of. ...

'Nice, Big Room! Beautiful Decorated House. Helpful and Friendly staff.'

'We used the Hare & hounds as a stopover on our way home but will give serious consideration to returning to explore the Lakes from there'
