Het was/is alleen jammer dat je niet zelf een kopje koffie/thee op je kamer kan maken. Maar voor de rest was het perfect.'

'Service was overall erg langzaam in alle horeca. Hoofdgerechten duurden 45 minuten. Toetjes half uur. Er werd niet gevraagd naar drankjes. Bijna twee uur aan tafel met 1 drankje. Rooftopbar mooi, maar ook daar duurde een rondje cocktails ca 40 minuten. Ober was wel aardig maar gewoon erg traag met bereidingen. Kamers hadden wel bad maar geen aparte douche. Douchen in bad vind ik niet horen bij deze prijsklasse. Ontbijt met 20 euro p.p. Redelijk prijzig, veel keuze maar veel werd niet tijdig...

'Quiet appartment complex located on the north side of Ilha São Miguel. Easy to get there from the airport by car. Parking places are inside the complex which is secured by electronic gate. My appartment (Camelia) was perfect. The only complaint I have is the windows in the small corridor leading to the bath/bedroom are single pane glass. In the evening there was a draught of cold air flowing over the couch. In november the nights are getting colder. It would be nice if there had been a curtain....

'Went here to celebrate my BF’s birthday. Communicated trough Expedia app and was serviced perfectly. They surprised him with a bottle of cava and a birthday cake! We had room 614, 6th floor with balcony and great view over the Atlantic. Room has a Dolce Gusto (free of charge) and a mini bar. Rooms and hotel are spotless clean, look brand new and are decorated beautifully - if that mirror would fit in my cabin luggage I would’ve taken it home with me 😉 -.

'This was our first trip to San Miguel and to Hostel Matriz 55. We had a wonderful stay there and Pedro and Susana were excellent hosts! They were very helpful with suggestions of restaurants etc.and made us feel right at home. The patio on the top floor had the best views.
We would definitely stay here again when we return to San Miguel!

'We really enjoyed the Rock Hostel. Our room was big and super clean and had a private bathroom. Internet worked great. The breakfast was amazing. We didn't use the pool but it looked fantastic as well. Definitely more of a hotel feel than a hostel. Highly recommend this place. '
