'It's on a round-a-bout which means that you have to look for the carpark. There is one & it is close by. We didn't stay in the hotel but in the Coachhouse. Breakfast was very good, staff are friendly. Has all the facilities but it's greatest plus point is where it is. Although I can imagine that some rooms could be quite noisy. '

'The Queens Head hotel is een pub, welke ‘s avonds geen maaltijden verzorgt. Maar in de buurt zijn voldoende andere eetgelegebheden. Het hotel ligt in het centrum van Buxton, wat verrassend gezellig is.

'I booked a compact room usually these are very small but comfy. This was downstairs with only 1 other room close by. Spacious quiet and comfortable. Also cool which was nice as its unusually warm in Buxton. The piano playing in the lobby is a lovely touch '

We stayed 3 nights and the room wasn’t serviced on any day noting we paid the same for each day we expected the room to look and feel clean each day. Dirty Coffee cups and glasses were left and whilst towels were replaced once (which was fine) the servicing lacked attention to detail. '

My room wasn’t ready for check in and I was part of a wedding so haven’t to come back wasn’t ideal, my room wasn’t entirely clean, there were dirty tissues under the sink cabinet and there were missing batteries in the remotes in my room. The dishes and glasses at breakfast were also dirty. '
