At Derwentwater (0.5 miles) you can go on scenic cruises and hire motor boats and keen walkers can enjoy the spectacular 10-mile route around the lake. Outdoor enthusiasts can tackle Skiddaw (5 miles) and Blencathra (7 miles), while at Bassenthwaite Lake (4 miles) you can go wild swimming, paddleboarding and boating.

Inside, you’ll have a welcoming open-plan living space with deluxe underfloor-heated tiled floors throughout. Two sofas and an easy chair provide comfortable seating, the Smart TV and a large bay window with panelling provides a cosy place to relax after a long walk. Solid oak furniture brings warmth and style to the space, and the well-equipped kitchen and dining area provide space for leisurely breakfasts and sociable meals. There’s also a small utility room with a washer/dryer. The king-size bedroom features a large bay window an easy chair and an en-suite shower room. The second has a super-king-size bed. The third bedroom has twin zip-and-link beds that can be converted into a super-king-size bed. All three bedrooms feature quality furnishings and luxury linens. The family bathroom includes a shower over the bath and WC.

Outside, guests can take advantage of the generously sized shared garden, which is equipped with outdoor furniture for relaxing in the fresh air.
